Great food! Great Service! Always nice to eat here.
Once again this place does not disappoint. I absolutely love coming here and this was probably the 5th time do far. Thanks for always being great and consistent! I'll be coming back next week for oysters 🤞
Ironside is the best of the best for fresh EXCELLENT seafood in San Diego!
Perfect B'day Lunch! staff was extremely welcoming and attentive and even included a Dessert surprise with candle.
Delicious food and exceptional service!
Food was great. Wait staff was very knowledgeable about product, but slow. Took 20 after we ordered drinks to get them. Didn’t do any check backs. Beautiful restaurant. Would go back.
Service was very slow. Waitress Kit, was unapologetic and lacked the skill set to improve customer service.
Consistently delicious food and great atmosphere. Never disappoints
Food was good but expected more.
Great job with the outdoor space dining during these difficult times. The Friday afternoon Happy hour oysters for $1 each were fabulous! The lobster cobb salad was fresh and delicious!!
Amazing! Everything, always!!
Local fish plate was great. Oysters tasted fresh and delicious. Sparkling rose was perfect!
Great service, fun sitting out on the street
Always a good place for fun cocktails and seafood.
Service was very slow and we sat near the street so we could smell all the car fumes. That made it for an unpleasant experience.
The waiter took a while to get to us. We had to ask for silverware. The I e teas we ordered had to be brewed so it took a while for them to arrive. There were also no non-seafood options (not even a salad).
Anniversary dinner. Excellent food service and ambience. will definitely go back
Fiancé and I were a little paranoid with all the people around. Extremely crowded and the people in Little Italy were not observing the CDC guidelines for social distancing and wedding g face mask
Great hospitality soon as we arrive and very accommodating with our stroller. Drink was awesome and waiter was helpful on different types of oysters to try out. Love love love the comeback sauce on the shrimp roll.
The atmosphere was great, my wife and I loved the look of the restaurant. The food was just ok. I think it's a little over priced. The best thing here are the oysters. If you order anything get oysters. I had the ghostwriter drink and it was very good. My wife tried to order a vodka drink and they only had Tito's. A vodka she hates. So if you want a different vodka don't go here. Overall place design was good, food overpriced for what you get, oysters great, certain drinks good, and no other options besides Tito's. I'll give it 3 out of 5.
Our initial waitress was not great, she didn’t know the answers to questions we had about the wine or menu. She went on break and our next server was fantastic! We all enjoyed the food very much
Service was a bit slow to start. Taking order etc but once it got going no complaints from beginning to end a great evening out with friends. And that bread...OMG!
Something has gone wrong. Ironsides used to be an awesome place to go for Seafood and drinks, it wasn’t on Tuesday. The seafood tower was subpar, lobster was slimy and squishy. The oysters were only ok, they don’t offer cocktail sauce which I found strange for an oyster spot. Service was SLOOOOOW. Waiting on drinks all night. I hope it was just a bad night and not their new normal.
Overall the restaurant is nice. Food is overpriced. Service was very friendly but slow.
The Octopus a la plancha with chorizo is amazing! We almost ordered a second one because we liked it so much! I'd personally say leave the mussels behind for something else... just my opinion. This place is great, and right in the middle of the trendy & bustling Little Italy neighborhood. Our server, Donald, went above and beyond his duties, offering us free dessert after their bakery had closed and showing up with some great restaurant recommendations to round out our stay in San Diego. If you want good fresh seafood in a trendy atmosphere, check this place out... but be sure to get a reservation, because it fills up fast.
We love Ironside. Our first time out since the new rules, we got a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff were nice and respectful of everything. The lobster roll was out of this world (we’ve had it before). The fish and chips were ‘eh’ but that’s ok. I was surprised at how loud it was and how many people were there given that I thought there would be less. It really didn’t seem that different from pre-Covid. Overall we still love this place and would go back!
AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING DRINKS, and AMAZING SERVICE
Food quality was just OK but for the price it was not good at all. Waiter Didn’t greet us for 30 minutes. She was rude and inattentive once she finally came over. Took 20 minutes to bring us our drink order. I made these reservations a month in advance for us to have a special night with friends visiting from out of town. Very disappointing. Do not recommend
Great for happy hour. Enjoyed the oysters. Waitresses where super friendly
I visited Ironsiide during my last visit to Sans Diego. The food, service and ambiance on this restaurant were all excellent!
This restaurant is a jewel in the SDO little Italy neighborhood and it is highly recommended for any type of visit.
We loved it and had a very great experience. Servers were attentive and food was so tasty!!
I went for an early dinner which happened to be happy hour. So glad I did as their happy hour menu is fantastic.
Great service, great ambience. Drinks were all beautifully presented and delicious and food is phenomenal.
Beautiful set up for outdoor seating. So delicious and wonderful service
Excellent food and friendly service
Love coming to Ironside since my first visit last year. They have seating inside and outside right now. My wife and I enjoyed the octopus (so tender), clam chowder (creamy with plenty of clams), bigger seafood platter (oysters were so fresh), crab cakes (yum), lobster roll (delicious as always) and a shrimp roll (excellent as well). Looking forward to a return visit.
There are many seafood restaurants to choose from in the area, I would not recommend coming on a weekend as their staff is not well equipped to handle the bustle of a weekend Little Italy crowd.
Would I come on a slow night, with fewer tables in a pinch, perhaps. But not driving in from Los Angeles specifically for this meal again.
Ugh. Got a server in training so was really disappointed. Food is pretty good overall. Service. Well. Just don’t expect much.
We love ironside and always have the best time we come. YUP! We drive 3 hours (6 total there and back) just got iron sides amazing food and atmosphere
Birthday. Food and staff were amazing and attentive. Best in class.
