The food was lovely, especially the Brussels sprouts and chicken dish. Also loved the ice cream confection in the mason jar. My only complaint was that the tables are a bit cramped. I will be back though, because the food is good and I live nearby!
This place has a pretty good happy hour for drinks but the food is fairly expensive for a small amount. That being said, the squash dumplings are some of the best things I’ve ever eaten so I’ll pay for them again and again.
Though the food was delicious, our waiter was not attentive at all. We asked for a few things but never got them. Had to ask other waiters. It is so disappointing when this happens because it sets the tone for the entire meal experience.
I will not return unfortunately.
This is a fun venue with good small plates to share. The concert venue next door sometimes bleeds through the walls with a loud bass line but we could still talk and socialize.
Food and service were outstanding. Menu not huge but has enough variety to please everyone.
Our table was a bit cramped until a huge party next to us left.
The noise level was very high so if you want to have a quiet or in- depth conversation, this is not the place.
If that’s not a priority, I recommend it highly. Will return.
Loved the food! Tuna tartar was the best I’ve ever eaten. Burgers were amazing, too.
Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was very good. The noise level was outrageous
Been here a number of times, usually each time with someone new, and it never disappoints me or them. I've converted a handful of people into huge fans.
I went with a few friends before going to a show. I picked this place because of the reviews and it was conveniently located. I looked like a hero!
Everything was delicious! The pumpkin dumplings did not disappoint. The brussel sprouts were outrageous!
The decor was warm and inviting. Our waitress was attentive but not fussy.
This is the first time I came here and was seated in the back...it was extremely noisy with waiters and people bustling back and forth through the bathroom and kitchen. I think the tables in the middle section in the back should be removed because while the food was delicious, having our table jostling around was not a good experience. I had the toast over eggs and it came burned.
Perfect winter spot for delicious comfort food. Hearty dishes that hit the spot. The squash dumplings, chicken and ice cream Sunday were particularly amazing. Very speedy service too!
Great food. Friendly staff. Loved the vibe. Will definitely go back.
We had a lovey time. Food was comforting. Service was friendly, but inconsistent. There was a party or high school girls who were...loud. But overall a lovely time.
Was happy with this restaurant and the food it had to offer. The only down side was the acoustics that came from the theater next door. Not the restaurant's fault, but they said the theater got a new sound system and the bass was loud and beating loudly throughout the night.
Food is consistently awesome. Romantic ambiance, perfect for a date but also a great gathering spot for friends. Don't miss the squash dumplings
The new host was just terrific and made great accommodations for my party of three
Noise from icing plaza next door was kinda annoying but can be overlooked because food was really good.
Great location near theatres east of Union Square Park - casual and fun - service was great!
Food was interesting - not for foodies, but well planned.
Our waitress was attentive and engaging. Red snapper was excellent. The restaurant is in a pleasant neighborhood by Union Square; situated on the corner of the block.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Went here with 3 friends just for a get together. The hostesses and bartender were very nice and friendly. Our waitress Emily was great and helpful. The food was all delectable as was the Nero d’avolo wine. Very nice cozy ambience, would be a great date spot. Highest food recommendations are the squash dumplings and the steak as well as the apple crisp for dessert. 10/10 will be back.
Not a great value. Food was good but overpriced for brunch in Union Square.
Just stopped in as soon at they opened for Happy hour with a friend. only $7 beers and cocktails which is not a bad price. Happy hour is also available in the dining room and not just bar area which was great! I would say the food was decent but we didn't really go there to ear so that was okay. nice ambiance and friendly staff. would definitely go again!
Food is OK. Service very good. Not sure I’ll be rushing back.
It was very very noisy and crowded tables. But the food was delicious
Waitress was very good. They did not have two things that I ordered, but comped me a drink. Order the special, ribbeye, but my bad I didn't ask the price, $48. It was very fatty snd grisly. Way ovrr priced.
Waitress was rude but food came fast and was good
was good location to Vineyard theatre and a good brunch
The food here was really good, although they were out of several dishes when I went. It was CRAZY loud due to an event going on in their sister restaurant next door. It’s a small place but they fit in what they can without cramming people together.
Really liked this little gem in union square. its small but able to get a table on saturday afternoon, loved the chicken biscuit and the gravy is a must!
The food was fantastic! I really enjoyed the southern chicken thigh platter. The chicken was crispy, the gravy was rich and not salty, and the biscuit was homemade and delicious. This was supposed to be a place nearby to get a quick bite before a movie, but I will have to make a special trip to eat there again.
The food was tasty, but they should warn customers that some of the pasta entrees are quite small
Food was fantastic, service was excellent, and there is a lot of attention to detail inside the restaurant. Would recommend for a brunch outing as there is a nice southern-inspired brunch menu.
The "Impossible Burger" (a vegetarian option) was fantastic! I've never tasted another that was so close to the taste of ground sirloin.
Suits every occasion
Food was delicious and surprising. The Kale salad was simple but so flavorful. The Duck with wild rice was rich but not heavy.
Came to Ichabod’s on a whim before a concert next door. The ambience is lovely. Had some happy hour drinks, which is awesome they offer them at the tables, as most places do not. And had a bunch of bites—the chicory salad, ribs, hangar steak and tuna tartare. All were delicious!! Great little spot! And the drinks were outstanding too
