Agua by Larbi Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
A fantastic dining experience. We've dined at Agua several times and it always delivers with fantastic meals, wines, service and setting. Food and setting are absolutely amazing but for me, what puts it over the top is the kind and attentive staff. Everyone from hostess, wait staff, sommelier, management, etc. is so kind and professional, engaging and desirous to make your dining experience memorable that you leaving wanting for nothing. One of our favorite dining experiences anywhere in the world!
We went to Agua to celebrate my wife's birthday. Right as we entered the resort, everyone we had interactions with, were so nice and polite. The setting was amazing. A table with a fireplace nearby. The band to our right. And the views were amazing. Hector, our waiter, went above and beyond bringing my wife a special dessert and the band sang her Happy Birthday (in Spanish of course haha).
We only had one little hiccup, where my wife asked for the remainder of her food to be packed up, and unfortunately they threw it away by accident. But Hector made sure to get her a new one, to go.
All in all, a top notch experience. We will definitely be back!
I had celebrated my 50th 5 years ago and returned for my 55th. The property is amazing, the service is exceptional and the food has an amazing level of flavor. The ambiance is awesome and the service is impeccable ! Even the busboys can detect if something is not correct. It was my birthday and they sent a beautiful dessert platter. I had the tuna tartar appetizer that was unbelievable and my friend had the Fettuccini with sausage that was delicious . Another guest had the short ribs that she loved .I can't say enough that from the minute you pull into the property it is nothing but first class service, and the grounds are breathtaking !
Usually we have enjoyed our dinners here immensely. This time we were disappointed that they didn't honor our open table request about a table preference or our anniversary celebration.
We had to remind our waiter to refill the waiter glasses, clean the table and clear the table.
They were so remiss they were putting our dinner plates on top of our appetizer dishes and a dirty crummy table.
Agua did not disappoint, it was fantastic! All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here, starting from the beautiful drive in, friendly golf cart driver who gave us a little tour of the beautiful grounds, and then arriving at a lovely spot for dinner. We sat indoors, which was just fine, the view of San Jose was awesome, the waiters friendly, knowledgeable and kind, and the food was all excellent. We had appetizers, salads and main dishes, one better than the next. Although very pricey, I would absolutely recommend this for a special dining choice.
Aqua by Larbi offers the premier dining experience in Los Cabos. We were seated along the water and watched the moon rise. The menu is extensive and creative, offering international favorites as well as Mexican dishes. The wine list is extensive and the service can't be beat. A must visit while visiting Los Cabos.
Outstanding in every way. Attention to detail is incredible, from the linen cocktail napkins to the backlit menus. The wait staff was available whenever we needed them, but totally unobtrusive so we never noticed they were there. We could not have had a more pleasant experience and we definitely will return.
A very beautiful place for any special occasion......in unbelievable surroundings that takes your breath away....with a gorgeous view.....combined with a fantastic menu - and an extensive wine list.... all presented with an extremely courteous service....
A must visit while in San Jose Del Cabo...and we will be back...
This was our third visit to Agua and it never disappoints. Food, service, view, live music to dine by - everything about this place is just spectacular. When you are here, it's like you've been transported to another world. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
Despite the incredibly beautiful setting, there is nothing remarkable about Aqua. Quite the contrary, the food was not good and expensive. I was shocked, as i thought with all the chef hype that it would be great. As for the price, don't mind spending $$$ when the food is excellent, but some of our dishes were over cooked and others just a bad paring of flavors and ingredients. However, what really was an insult was a women standing over a comal with a tortilla press on a table making what appeared to be tortillas...yummy, right! Wrong, she was indeed standing there next to the comal and a tortilla press, but the press was all for show and she was basically re-heating factory made tortillas on the comal......hello this is Mexico. If you are going to bother with the show boat of homemade tortillas you better deliver. Report card....this place is a fail!
This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent attention to detail, as you would expect. Lighted menus, excellent service, wonderful cocktails and wine and delicious food. We truly enjoyed this romantic evening out - walking through the resort grounds to the restaurant added to the whole appeal - with so many beautiful real candles lighting the path along the way. We dined outside by the live music and ocean waves - truly a wonderful evening. We were presented with a lovely plate of anniversary confections and menus signed by the chef to commemorate our special evening. I would love to return and perhaps stay at this resort on our next visit to Cabo.
A very expensive meal for what it was. The wine list is absurdly priced. I travel a fair amount around North America and Europe and this was the most egregiously priced wine list I have seen.
Having said that the food was very good (pork chops and moles were the highlight).
The service was among the best we have had in Mexico. Right up there with Esperanza.
Would I return? Not sure; for the money there are others I would go to first.
Lugar precioso y servicio excelente.
My wife and I had a date night after a long day of travel to Cabo. We chose to have dinner at Agua and it met all our expectations. The staff was friendly, the food delicious and you can't beat the ambiance. The Mexican quartet playing music was really good and not too loud, allowing for conversation.
We were SO happy with every aspect of the meal. Service was impeccable, as expected by the Palmilla. The food exceeded expectation. Wine options were great...assuming you like the local wines any way. We happen to love the Mexico wines currently being produced and anyone who isn't willing to try one is really missing out. Here we had a fantastic 2010 Merlot as recommended by the somm. The cost is a little high , but we shared our starter and main and there was plenty for us.
It doesn’t get much better than sitting beside the ocean, watching the sunset, and being totally indulged by an excellent wait staff. The food is true Mexican and the Sea Bass I had was cooked to perfection. My only disappointment was not in Agua but in One and Only’s overall reduction in the personal touch they were one time noted for. In the past we would be recognized by name from the security gate and throughout the facility. At the end of the evening ladies would be given a burlap gift bag with chocolates, soaps, candles, etc., nothing fancy but a total win. These personal touches obviously cost $$$ have gone by the wayside but from the number of people we have shared this with in the past years that have resulted in people visiting the facility it would seem a priceless effort. Regardless it is still the best stay and dinner in Cabo.
