Eddie V's - Tysons Corner
Never a disappointment.
Reservations were running behind, had 9:15p reservation didn’t get seated until 9:45. A little frustrating, but had a very good dining experience.
45 minute wait after arriving on time for our reservation, every person waiting was offered a complimentary champagne except us by I believe the host manager. Got seated next to the band. Barely had any conversation with my wife due to loud music. Good food, terrible experience. Will not come back again. Have a good day
I’ve been many times usually in the week. Saturdays seem to be mayhem for the team - booked several days earlier for 8:15pm. Arrived at 8:10 and waited 5 minutes to be acknowledged then told it’s really busy and they won’t have any tables for another 20 minutes. So, no biggie, we went to the bar for a drink. We were eventually seated at 9:10 at a high top table right by the bar. Then had a little trouble with a steak which was over done, and the replacement was most under done. I sound like I’m one of those who moan about everything, but I like to share the facts when a place which is ordinarily excellent messes up. The manager did apologise, adjusted the check and committed to a better service next time. I will of course return but I hope they find a way to manage demand on Saturdays because it makes for a bad experience especially on special occasions.
We had a 20 minute wait for our reservation—something we have not previously experienced.
I had really high hopes for this place, but it just didn't deliver. We waited over 30 minutes past our reservation time, which is to be expected I guess at 7:30 on a Saturday night. We started the meal with some delicious oysters and lobster bisque, and then things went downhill. We ordered the bone-in NY strip steak cooked medium, and it arrived somewhere between rare and medium rare. Even the manager looked shocked when we showed him. They did cook us a new steak, which was cooked perfectly this time- I just wasn't expecting this kind of mistake at this caliber of a restaurant. We also ordered the sea bass, which was cold in the middle and honestly didn't impress me at all. I didn't bother sending this one back. If you've been to Seasons 52, their sea bass entree is prepared the same Asian style, but it's MUCH better and less $.
We most likely won't be back.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner! The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. Our waiter brought us champagne and a special birthday dessert.
The fish was under cooked and steak over cooked. Very loud with talking and a band playing.
Our server, Kevin was great! We will be back! I wish someone would have explained about how to get into the restaurant. Confusing trying to find you Also, didn't know that seating could be in dining room or bar area. WE Were in the bar area, in a booth, and it was fine. The view from the other room was pretty cool
The food very good and the service was excellent! We would highly recommend Eddie V's to anyone looking for fine dinning.
Service and food is superb!!
Went to dinner for my birthday and was totally pampered by the staff and manager! Got to pick my favorite table, got a birthday card, fabulous dinner and beautiful birthday dessert!! Thank you Eddie V's for a great evening.
the only thing i can say is why have reservations if you cant be seated an HOUR after your reservation time? we ended up eating at the bar for our anniversary dinner. not worth risking that when you are willing to spend over $60 for a steak. too bad because i wanted to love this place.
Everything was so good for my daughter’s birthday! We loved our table by the window!
There was a little waiting even though I had made the reservation.
This is a reasonably good restaurant.. was a little disappointed as the wine of our choice was exhausted. Fish is awesome but the salad was not too good. The server never asked if we wanted bread etc. room for upping service.
Excellent service and great food selection. Love the special touch and attention to detail.
Eddie V's was so amazing!! My best friend and I had such a great time and she said it was the best birthday dinner she's ever had. Thank you so much!
Birthday gathering for son
Eddie V’s has the best quality seafood in the area.
Fantastic Lobster Bisque, Oysters Rockefeller, Herb Crusted Sole.
Head Chef is fantastic and manager Anthony is on top of his game with a fantastic banana foster.
Eddie V’s in Tyson’s Corner never disappoints. From AJ ( Manager) to all the amazing team members(Hosts, Wait Staff, etc) service and attention to every detail is paramount. Also, the food is always tasty and fresh. Last but not least, the Eddie V’s Old Fashioned is a must have. I visit whenever I’m in the area for work.
Very crowded and had to wait much longer for a table then usual. Fish was very good but the filet mignon was not good being over cooked and grisly.
Outstanding! Had a great time. Dinner and cocktails were delicious! Band was great and the ambiance was as well! They accommodated a nice set up for me for a special occasion and I am so grateful and my party was so pleased! I’ll definitely be returning next month for my birthday dinner!
It used to be truly FINE DINING. The standard has gone down :
One of our plates was dirty, it had spinach underneath and grossly smeared my partner's hand.
The bread was as hard as a rock.
The ( live music) ambiance is still the best.
The food is still good & pricey.
Personally will stop by for drinks but not to dine anymore!
Excellent restaurant, we can not wait to go again.
The only thing I would recommend is to lower the music. It is very loud considering the fact that the place is a restaurant not a concert venue. I would still give it a five star though. Excellent food, great atmosphere and service.
Overall a good experience. Not the place to go for a quiet evening out. The place was pretty full, a piano player was playing by the bar. The area by the bar and the piano player was very loud and I found myself pausing, but it got a little calmer and quieter when we got to our table.
The food was good, the service was decent but the price tag was hefty.
Really appreciate Eddie V’s putting us in a private room
The fish tacos had great flavor but not much fish.
Great service and nice personal touches to help celebrate a special occasion.
The food was outstanding. Had a crab and corn chowder which was excellent - and then a filet with brussel sprouts and cheesy au gratin potatoes. They recognized my wife's birthday with a complimentary dessert. I have yet to have anything but an outstanding experience in my visits there.
We had a large party (my family of 11). The meal was fantastic, sequence of service was on point, but not over intrusive. The food was delicious from apps, to entrees, to sides, to desserts. We’ll definitely be back!
Minor snag at the tail end-Valet parking closed at like 9:30 so we got a text that said we’re closing in 15 minutes, but we were still mid-meal. When we were leaving, we were told to cross the street to the Hyatt to get our car, but turns out they recently changed that, and we had to cross back over again and it was in the garage underneath.
Our server , I think his name was Kevin. That man is the god of servers. Just saying
It is wonderful- pricey but...worth it for a special occasion.
In spite of having a reservation, they consistently have you wait about 15-20 minutes before seating you. This has happened over and over, regardless of what night of the week. This time after waiting we were seated in a booth at the bar which is very lively, noisy and not what you would expect after a reservation and waiting. We were told to move to the dining room would be an additional 20 minutes. I find this to be unacceptable. In the end we were moved but not after great discussion. Food and service are very good however the incident soured the evening. Eddie V you lost us as customers.
We dined at Eddie V's to celebrate with friends whom we had not seen for some time. The entire experience was memorable - from the ambiance to the quality of the food and wine to the service. We thoroughtly enjoy Eddie V's and consider it to be one of the best restaurants in the Tyson's area.
we had the oysters, burrata salad, steak entree salad, salmon. 4 stars instead of 5 becase we expected better shucking. The food however is CLEAN and for that, we would have put 5 stars--it felt like the chef wanted the ingredients to speak and not be muted by over-seasoning. Service would have been 5, but we had to ask for bread three times (perhaps the disconnect happened elsewhere, but expected the deliver to happen sooner. I hate to fault the server because I am sure he did his best, BUT...if the oven the bread was still baking or something, communication might have been good). The table close to us were waiting longer for their food, so maybe it was just an off-day at the restaurant. The host crew were great and very accommodating. Ambiance was great in the sense that the chairs were comfortable, the table set well, and that the restaurant had great sound proofing (so many places now are just too loud). Better attention to the bathroom might be a good idea--the family bathroom was untidy (most likely the previous guest) but seemed like it really needed a deep clean. For the quality of food, level of service, and the traditionally curated table setting, Eddie V is a prices very, very competitively. If the THREE full service restaurants on the esplanade Eddie V is on, they win. Of all the restaurants in the complex, I think they still come out on top. If i put them next to ALL the restaurants within a 1mi radius, they are on my top 3 list.
Bad. Cheesy atmosphere average food I’ll not return.
I took my boyfriend out for dinner for his birthday to Eddie V's and they spoiled us throughout the whole evening. Starting with the great service and the complimentary champagne toast and desert to finish up the night. We had great food and enjoyed the live music as well. I definitely would go back and recommend this to friends and family. The only reason I put one less star is that the Brussels sprouts and the Medd. Branzino were okay but everything else from starters to drinks were great! Thank you!
Excellent food with good service, bustling environment with live music...crab cakes and lobster bisque were my favs...salmon was perfectly cooked...apple cobbler was divine. We were seated in the front of the restaurant near the bar...and it was difficult to hear over the music and noise from the bar...for conversations, I would suggest a table in the back. But perfect otherwise.
