Dos Caminos - Park
Wednesday - Thursday: 11:30am - 11:00pm
Friday - Saturday: 11:30am - 12:00am
I’ve been to other locations that are fine but this Dos caminos is attrocious. From the start, our waiter was rude and condescending. The wine list is minimal. The guacamole was decent but was $28(!!!!!!) for 2 avocados. We got quesadillas and enchiladas (pretty basic) and I’ve never tasted anything so horrible at a Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas had no cheese and the quesadillas were drenched in BBQ sauce. When we complained, the waiter got the Manager who was extremely unhelpful. She took 15% off the bill, which ended up not being equivalent to even 1 of our meals, and ALL 3 of us didn’t eat our meals. We ended paying about $50 for 1 drink each and a split order of guacamole with 2 avocados. After being shooed out, we went across the street to Hillstone and actually ordered an edible meal and were treated with respect by the waitstaff. My friends and I are not cheap but the price we paid for an awful experience and inedible meal is unacceptable. Don’t waste your time here - plenty of other good restaurants right near by such as Hillstone and Sarabeth’s!
Food OK not fine dining. Very expensive for what it was. Bottle of wine $42 for cheap plonk.
Don't know what was going on, but the service was terrible. We had empty water glasses for 20 mins. No one ever came by. Very disappointing.
No chips and salsa for free like other locations
Our server definitely rushed us when we still had over 30minutes left when we tried telling him we started at 1pm-reservations were at 1pm he was a bit rude about it. Food was okay. Will not be recommending this place.
Food was excellent and fresh tasting.
Overall fun bustling place, but very noisy.
Smoky Bacon Quac was the best ever. Also generous portions
On the recommendation from a friend, ate at restaurant while in NY for Thanksgiving. Really enjoyed ourselves. Food was good, loved the room. Will eat here again when back in NY.
Came up from Virginia for Thanksgiving and wanted some Mexican the day before. This place was delicious! Got the Smokey bacon guacamole to start. I highly recommend it. For dinner I had the short ribs so tender you could cut with a fork and my wife had the sizzling fajitas. The fajitas smelled wonderful and had huge shrimp and big chunks of chicken. It tasted just like it smelled, flavorful. Of course we had some adult beverages. I had the Cadillac margarita and my wife had the passion fruit margarita. They were both good but we liked the passion fruit margarita a little better. So if you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant, this place is it! I will definitely be going back.
One of the few places in the neighborhood where I can have a business lunch meeting in surroundings that aren't too cramped and noisy. The food is quite good. Guacamole is a must. On this occasion, the service was somewhat slow and awkward.
Very average food
The guacamole did not taste fresh. Also they offer you the largest size without letting you know and it shows up on your bill at $27. We felt rushed. The restaurant is huge with a lot of empty tables on a Friday night. The enchiladas we're good but not worth the price.
We went to celebrate my friend’s
birthday. The food and the drinks were excellent and the servers followed my request on Open Table for a birthday cupcake for dessert.
We had a really good time!
I enjoyed another brunch. I had Huevos Rancheros this time which was excellent. The server was friendly and helpful. I recommend this as a good casual place to enjoy tasty food.
An enjoyable evening. The food was good and the waiters cheerful and friendly. I would go back - but it was hard to escape the background music.
Our server Caesar was amazing. The food and drinks were awesome!
Love it. Maureen and Bob Psulson. A lovely and accommodating staff always.
Dos Caminos has become a frequent Sunday brunch venue due to good food with friendly service at an attractive price.
The Huevos con Chorizo with a side of grilled corn has become a favorite.
Great food (don't miss the hamburger and the hot fudge sundae), ambience (tables well-spaced, allows for normal conversation), and service (Julianna is a wonderful host, Orlando gives unobtrusive but extremely attentive service).
Cesar was a great server who made terrific recommendations and really took care of our group. Food is consistently good, love this place.
I always have a great experience at your restaurant!
Tanya, our server, was the best!
Great service. We stayed and hung out long after finishing our meal, and our sever made us feel very comfortable. We never once felt rushed and we got to enjoy our time catching up!
Drinks took a long time to deliver in fact came with meal. Not acceptable. Tried to get the waiter's attention several times to order some more food. hard to do. Food was average, not spectacular.
As always, an amazing experience where flavorful dishes and great service culminate into an evening to remember!
Best mexican food in town. And not any Dos caminos, it has to be this one in Park Ave. Dont even try the one in Times Square, they’re quality is not top notch like the one in Park ave. Everything was excellent, from the food to the service. One of the waiters (not even ours) dropped a plate next to our table and the manager and our waiter quickly came to apologize. Even gave us a free round of drinks and a plate. If you in town, Dos caminos @ Park ave is a must
Our family had dinner here on Saturday night before a show and my entrée was probably one of the best Mexican dishes I have ever had. I ordered the short ribs and they were incredibly tender with a delicious Mexican glaze with a spicy kick. They were served with this delicious cheesy rice and pico as well as warm, homemade mini tortillas. The meal was so delicious and really didn't even need the tortillas. I wish I lived in NYC so I could go back every week! The guacamole for an appetizer was also outstanding and the freshest possible. I could have just made that into a meal. I highly recommend this place!!!
Tried the new rib entree and it was very good. Was not excited about the “corn pudding” side when I read about it on the menu but it was an incredible mix of grits, hominy and cheese. They really need to change the description. Pudding sounds too dessert or custard like for an entree in my opinion.
Waiter was terrific
I've walked by this restaurant many times but never thought of dining there. At the suggestion of a friend I decided to go for dinner and as soon as I took a look at the menu I knew this restaurant was special. I really enjoyed the Guacamole, Mole short Ribs and Choco-coco ice cream. Dos Caminos is now on my list of neighborhood restaurants.
The service from Rolando was incredible! The food was delicious and the brunch margaritas were really excellent. A fun time!
Get the fresh guacamole and ask for extra lime, it's great!
As always, Sarah and Injamum were absolutely wonderful. They take great care of us and we truly enjoyed every minute. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
Dos Caminos never disappoints. The food, drinks and service are outstanding. The Sangria is exceptional!
Food was delicious THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. Our waiter was so patient with us he really made our night special. He was super attentive and super polite.
Awesome place to share some guac and margaritas with friends!
The service was pretty terrible- we could never find our waiter(s) and they didn't come over until we asked the hostess or another staff member.
The weekend brunch continues a high standard of food and service at good value for money.
This was my second time here - brought a friend that's new to the area that wanted Mexican food and I wanted a good/unique cocktail. She had the dos enchiladas and a side of sweet plantains, I had the shrimp quesadilla, and we shared the chocolate lava cake (don't remember it's official name). I also had the pineapple smoke cocktail. The food was all very satisfying, we had plenty of leftovers, and we had a great time. The cocktail was also the perfect choice - very unique with the smoky aftertaste. Also, service was prompt and courteous. The only negative with coming here is that it's a chain (locations in NY, Atlantic City, and FL), and so the food is pre-prepped before you order... meaning you can't order something with a modification from how it is listed on the menu (e.g., no mushrooms). This made an impact in what I ordered, but the food we ended up ordering was all delish and my friend was very happy.
We waited 25 minutes beyond our reservation time to be seated. After we were seated, it was another 20 minutes before our server came by. She never introduced herself. I ordered a drink I had seen while we were waiting on the bar but when it arrived, it was missing the spicy salt around the rim ( an essential component of the drink). When I asked the server why it was missing, she said, “You wanted the salt?” Overall, not a stellar experience.
