DC Prime Steakhouse calificaciones y reseñas
Slow service all around. Slow to take order. Slow to get food. Slow to get check. Waiter did not know what types of beer they had.
Very expensive and everything is extra (including sauce). The rib-eye was one of the best i ever had. Very good steak.
Our waiter and the food were outstanding! Steaks were pricey, but we knew that when we made the reservations. It was a special occasion...our 44th anniversary and we were treated to champagne and a delicious dessert on a plate that said, "Happy Anniversary." The room was very loud and not at all romantic.
We made reservations weeks ago and when we arrived 10 minutes early we were told our table would be ready in a few minutes. We waited 20 minutes in the bar and when my husband went to check he was told it would be another few minutes. Others came in and were seated immediately as there were many open tables.
Disappointing start to the evening, but John, our waiter, made the evening special for us.
DC Prime did not disappoint. We were celebrating 2 special occasions. We were seated in a far back corner, as requested. Having been there only once before, we knew we wanted the same main dishes. My husband had an amazing filet. It was cooked to perfection, and the taste was a wonderful mix of flavors that mixed with the great cut melded extremely well together. I had the seared scallops, served over truffle cream pappardelle and wild mushrooms. The pasta and sauce were incredible. There was an abundance of mushrooms, so searching through the mound of pasta was not necessary. The sear and tenderness of the scallops were perfect. We were curious to try something different as a side, and upon our server's (Matt) recommendation we tried the mac & cheese. Fresh pasta with a large amount of delicious white cheeses made for the perfect side for my husband's course, with enough to take half home.
Again at Matt's recommendation for dessert, we tried the NY cheesecake and the crème brulee. The cheesecake though delicious, was nowhere near as good as the crème brulee! The amount served was more than enough for us to share, and we ate every bite (even after packing up half our dinner to go).
The service was great, our drinks/glasses were never empty, our server was continually checking to ensure our meal was to our liking.
I highly recommend this place for any special occasion, a private event, or even a higher caliber business dinner. I also would ask for Matt. His tableside manner and work ethic was more impressive than the last server we had.
Our pre-Valentine’s dinner was a memorable one! Our server was courteous and well versed with each option on the menu. He paced the different courses perfectly allowing our evening to flow without ever feeling rushed.
The food was delicious! Our steaks were cooked perfectly just as we ordered.
Great evening and one that will hopefully be repeated again and again.
I was a lil disappointed by two lil things. I was celebrating one of my best friend’s birthday with dinner. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and the manager who recognized us. With a reservation we were told that there would be a 20 minute wait and we were 10 minutes early which would have been ok if that was a theme that continued. We watched 2 parties with reservations come in after us get seated immediately. We heard a fella stop by on his way out to say “please thank the manager for squeezing us in so last-minute.” 20 mins in and after the second couple came in checked in and was seated Immediately. I then asked, well what time was their reservation? With no explanation we were then shuttle to our seats with a we can seat you now. The manager avoided ya the rest of the evening. #disappointed.
Food and service was great. However, I would expect it to be for the price! Also - bar area TV is visible from the restaurant main seating area. That was disappointing. If I'm going to pay $350 for dinner for two, I'd really like to not have a TV within visual site. We got a special "Happy Anniversary" card and desert from the chef - that was a very nice touch.
We went there for my birthday. It was our first time. We had a reservation & were taken to a table. It was 5:30 pm & the restaurant was quite empty. We asked for a booth instead & were given the booth that faces the kitchen although almost every other booth was still available. Not what we expected. Our server was very nice & attentive. The food was delicious but the prices will probably keep us from returning.
This was our first visit to DC Prime. Wanted to go to Capital Grill or Ruth Chris but didn’t want to drive 30 minutes out of Ashburn.. We had a great meal. I had one of the top 3 ribeye steaks I have ever had. Cooked perfect and seasoned nicely and my wife had a filet that she said was perfect... French onion soup and cream corn were also great.. Andre was our server who was very informative and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely make this a restaurant we add to our rotation.
The filet mignon was a 6 out of 10. The filet was not tender at all. It took effort to cut. The flavor was not what I was hoping for either. The steaks that I make on my home grill have a better taste. The tuna was an 8 out of 10. The loud pop music was not enjoyable. The only redeemable factor of the evening was the service. Our server was very attentive. This was our first time to DC Prime, and it will probably be our last.
This was our first time dining at DC Prime and we were looking forward to a great meal for my birthday. My husband ordered a steak and I ordered the lobster which I hesitated to order due to the hefty price tag of $36/lb but I figured that it was a special occasion. My husband was also 'upsold' the Kansas City cut for greater flavor and we also ordered two sides - brussel sprouts and mac and cheese.
The food was brought out - I noticed they took all of the lobster meat and shoved in back in to the carcass and there was also some green liquid on the plate. I proceeded to pull the meat out of the lobster carcass - first the claws which were tinted green. I expected to see a little green tint having eaten plenty of lobsters before. When I pulled the tail out, the entire piece was covered in green gunk as well as a dark green/black jelly substance. I immediately called over our waiter and asked if this was normal. I looked inside the carcass to see it had not been cleaned out of any of the green gunk or jelly. It was extremely unsightly and I was starting to lose my appetite - I think I even used the word 'gross' and 'disgusting'. Our waiter brought my plate back to the kitchen and the chef claimed this was 'completely normal'. I think it would be their standard to clean out the lobster. They offered to clean the tail (running it under water) and reheat it - gee, thanks. My husband was completely underwhelmed by his steak. The best part of our dinner was the mac and cheese side dish.
The manager walked by our table several times and he did not utter one word to us even though I was visibly disgusted with my $72 lobster. There was no offer to comp a portion of our meal nor a complimentary dessert for my trouble (or my birthday). This is not the level of quality I would expect and after our bill came out to be $165 (we did NOT order any alcohol), we will definitely not be dining again. This was a very expensive lesson in (lack of) fine dining.
The restaurant ambiance, server, and overall night was great. However, we were told the steaks were cooked to a 'rarer' side and to order accordingly - such that our server encouraged us to order a touch above what we traditionally ordered. That meant our ordered medium rare filets should have been perfect to our likings. Rather, they were both closer to medium/medium well. After taking 45 minutes to get them, we were both too hungry to wait longer and did not want to have guests waiting to be sat, sitting longer. Everything else was fantastic, including the sides, appetizers, and dessert.
Great food and service. The manager was there and very much present. I could tell he wanted everything to be done right and for the customers to be happy. It’s pricey but worth it. Service was good and food was great. It helped that it was on a Saturday night and the place was lively but not too loud. Great experience.
Thank you for a wonderful meal and great service. This was a top-notch birthday celebration. The steaks were perfect, Rick's Porterhouse and the Darling Downs Filet were among the best we have ever had, anywhere. Our server, Danielle, was a delightful young lady and very helpful with dessert selections. We will be back in the future.
Service was excellent as always. I decided to order a Wagyu strip for the first time and it was disappointing, dry and not juicy at all. I should have stuck with my usual ribeye!
Apps were outstanding, drinks perfect and consistently great service every time we’ve been there.
Sooooooo expensive. Plan on spending $100.00 per person at a minimum. The steak WAS delicious as was the salad and crabcake. Drinks range from $10 and up...not too different from other restaurants with a more budget-friendly fare. The location is so-so.
New Years Eve with 6 in our party for a dining experience to start the new year. Disaster, food took over 1 1/2 hours to finally be served. Dry aged steak ordered medium came out raw in the center and well cooked on the outside. Had to send it back to the kitchen. Another diner in our party ordered medium and the filet was well done. We feel it was an issue with an inexperienced waiter.
The owner was advised of the problem and comped the meals for all 6 diners. That was an excellent move. I still haven't eaten the dry aged steak that I brought home. The steak had no flavor at all. This restaurant is very good overall, We celebrated New Years here last year and had an excellent meal, that's why we returned this year. Will give it another try later in the 2018 year!
The food was outstanding. Our waiter was the best! The ambiance/energy was on point. There seemed to be a hiccup with our reservations. The reservation station seemed overwhelmed and confused. Wait time was a little longer than anticipated. However, if you are patient enough the food/wine will make up for it.
