DC Prime Steakhouse calificaciones y reseñas
We took our daughter her to celebrate her birthday. The husband and i have been before, and the service and food is always close to perfect. Chef Brad knows how to cook steaks to your request. The ambiance is warm and inviting, bar a tad loud on this Friday night, and cigar smoke was in evidence, but went away as the night wore on. Overall I heartily recommend DC Prime as a great place for dinner with family and with friends.
For the price on the steaks I would have preferred if they asked about the meat being charred or black.
The inside was cooked well and the taste very good, but the outside of the steak on both ends was black. The waiter said it is standard unless otherwise requested not to have it black.... I would think it should be the other way around.
Not impressed with the price we had to pay.
Food was outstanding. The petite filet was amazing!!!
Our waiter, Rockney, gave us a special room since it was a business meeting (which I would highly recommend) and we had our own personal dining experience. It even had a huge flat screen TV in the room (which we did not use), but it is nice to know for next time. I am definitely coming back.
I took my husband there to celebrate his birthday, which I also noted on the open table reservation when I booked. After we were seated by the hostess we waited for a significant amount of time before being helped. We ended up notifying what looked to be the manager. He apologized and provided us with complimentary glasses of wine. We appreciated the gesture, but honestly service never got better. We felt like we didn't receive the same level of attention as other tables. They also failed to acknowledge the special occasion, which turned me off even more. I will say the food was great (quality cuts of steak), but for me superior customer service is everything.
Disappointed. Three of 6 entrees ordered were out, but we ordered and waited before we found out. In one case we waited at least 15 minutes then were told sorry, no sea bass. They comped us a bottle of wine, which was nice. The sides didn't show up until the meal was almost done. No comp this time. Maybe they thought the sides were ordered for dessert.
Brought good friends of ours to the restaurant and once again, Nick and staff did a wonderful job of taking care of our every need, feeding us delicious food and allowing us the time to visit with our friends. Another positive experience!
Eaten at DC Prime several times and while this trip was good it was not as expected. The baked potato was not done. The mushrooms were average. The most annoying thing was the steak knives were dull. While the beef was very good and tender you needed more than a butter knife to cut it.
Food was excellent as always but our waiter was pretty terrible. We ordered a bottle of wine, and instead of letting us try it, he just started to decant it. Dropped our check off without asking if we wanted something else, which we did. For the prices you pay, the service needs to be improved.
Great dining experience for our 17th wedding anniversary. Rick the owner was great and gave us some great advice on a nice Frank Family Cabernet to celebrate the evening. Carl our waiter was knowledgeable and provided great service. My wife and I shared the spinach salad; she had the filet mignon and I had the locally sourced ribeye. We chose a side order of mushrooms and we split the loaded bake potato to compliment the steaks. We finished with the bread pudding. It was an all-around great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone.
We came here for my mom’s birthday. Two of us had the organic local steaks that were on special and they were tough and not cooked well. They had no char on the outside and were overpriced for the actual quality. The other steaks were OK, but not up to the quality we are used to from other steak establishments like Del Friscos or Wolfgang’s.
Service was not great- the server wasn’t that attentive, didn’t know the offerings well, and had a bit of an annoying personality. Overall, we were pretty dissatisfied considering we spent over $500. We have been before and it was much better. But probably will not return after this experience.
We were out to dinner for a Birthday celebration. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was out of stock. The waiter brought us a better bottle at the same price which was a great gesture. Ordered the surf and turf special which was amazing. Shared 2 sides(brussel sprouts & mushrooms)both delicious. Was given a complimentary Birthday dessert which made my date feel special and the presentation was unique and Fun !!!
DC Prime, price wise is comparable to more well known high end steak places. Although Loudoun County has a high income base, its still a family oriented county and not the city. Therefore families will only eat their on special occasions thus limiting the patrons to business folks and the well to do. Nonetheless, the food, service and atmosphere are great.
D.C. Prime is one our favs and while we can't afford to eat there more than a few times a year, it never disappoints. When they have the bone-in filet, definitely consider it, as it is always delicious and full of flavor. Truly one of the best! They were out of it this week so my husband opted for the bone-in strip and it was incredible, cooked to perfection. Our friend and I each had the 8oz filet , along with creamed corn, au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach. We loved the corn and potatoes...the spinach was good but nothing special.
We all started with the D.C. Prime martini, which was made to perfection and ended the night with a glass from their extensive bourbon list. If you're a bourbon fan, you're in luck because the co-owner, Rick, is too and he makes sure to keep the bar well stocked with at least 50+ top labels, in addition to some very hard to find brands.
Definitely with the splurge once in a while if you're really craving a nice steak, great cocktails, decent wine list and/or great glass of bourbon!
We had a pleasant enough dining experience but because of the cost it will not be a regular go to night out. The crab appetizer was fresh and plentiful. I had the lobster bites which was on the spicy side and imho could have had a few more " bites" for the price. The petite filet mignon was cooked properly and well seasoned as was the NY strip. Only food complaint was the creamed spinach was very bland and the spinach tasted more like kale do it its strange chewiness.
We were in Dulles area only overnight and needed a good meal so we found it on Open Table. It was much better than just a good meal; it was a great dining experience! Not inexpensive but worth every penny! My husband and I both had the 8 oz. filets and they were seasoned and cooked to perfection!
