We had a wonderful experience. The setting is beautiful, the staff were attentive without being too much, very professional and friendly. We had the afternoon tea which is really more of a delightful small dish tasting menu showcasing the chefs skills. The flavours burst out of every dish, they were incredible and although we expected it to be delicious it way surpassed our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the afternoon tea to anyone and we are already planning our return.

My boyfriend and I went on a date night and discovered CaRumBar while searching for Caribbean restaurants in Bedford. Situated opposite Lidl, this cute West Indian restaurant delivered a lovely experience with amazing music, great vibes, and genuinely welcoming hospitality. The host was absolutely lovely, friendly, and refreshing, making us feel comfortable from the start. We ordered the sharing platter, which came with three meats, rice and peas, coleslaw, and of course I had to add plantain. The portions were unbelievable and incredibly generous. The oxtail was tender, delicious, highly seasoned, and had a kick of spice that reminded me of home. The curry goat was equally flavourful and tender, although less spicy than the oxtail. The jerk chicken on the bone was unreal: juicy, tender, and packed with flavour. Chicken on the bone will always be superior! The rum punch was sweet and dangerously easy to drink, but do not underestimate the Wray & Nephew. You have been warned! We finished with dessert from the secret menu, but shhhhh, do not let him know I told you. Overall, CaRumBar gave us fantastic food, generous portions, lovely hospitality, and a memorable date night. I highly recommend booking a table and experiencing it yourself. Five stars from me!
