We welcome you beneath the frescoed vaulted ceiling of what was once a theater-built in the late 17th century that served as a recreational space for the hotel hosting pilgrims passing through Florence on their way to Rome to visit the Pope. This theater was commissioned by the musician and *belcanto* singer Domenico Melani. Today, the space houses a steakhouse featuring premium-quality meats, carefully selected ingredients, homemade pasta, and an extensive wine list.We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.

In the heart of the San Lorenzo neighborhood, just steps from the Mercato Centrale, there's a place where Florence sits down to dinner every day. La Falterona isn't just a restaurant: it's a story spanning almost a century, passionately preserved by Claudio and Amalia, who welcome each guest like family—with warmth, care, and authenticity. Here, Tuscan cuisine isn't just a slogan: it's the aroma of simmering ragù, the pasta rolled by hand every morning, the bread that accompanies an appetizer of Casentino cured meats.Every dish speaks of the region, its seasons, its truest flavors. Open for lunch and dinner, every day. Because good food knows no rest. The queen of Tuscan tradition is undoubtedly the famous Florentine steak at Ristorante La Falterona. As Claudio, the soul and passion behind the restaurant, explains, each steak is carefully selected and grilled to perfection to enhance its flavor and juiciness.
