I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food, which was excellent for pub-style dining. The staff were smart, courteous and attentive. Whether quiet or busy during sporting events, the atmosphere was always welcoming, with a great buzz when the football was on. Prices were as expected for the location. A relaxed, well-run venue where good food, service and atmosphere come together. I’d happily return.

Really surprised! When I saw that the Village bar and grill was highly rated, I admit I was skeptical. Previous experiences at other hotels were average but in Basingstoke it was great. Bar is in ‘sports bar’ mode but that fits in great if you want a burger and watch the football. It was lively without being noisy, good range of seating options, good price on drinks (check the Village’ app for offers). We had the burgers which were above average but the staff were great, attentive without being overbearing and good service at the bar for more drinks etc. Make sure you check out offers such as £50 of credit for £40 before you go.

The night was so much fun went to boogie bingo in the pub

Great food choice and excellent service. Nice environment and not too noisy.

Great food, service and ambience. Air conditioning was set a bit too low.
