Still the best squid ink pasta ever. Gnocchi was a bit dense but the sauce etc with it was great. All and all a great restaurant. We are heading back in 5 days to get more of the squid ink pasta.

We had a fantastic experience at The Carlton Wine Room. The wine list was excellent, with plenty of interesting choices, and the menu was creative and a little different. Everything we tried was delicious, but the scallop and wallaby were definite standouts. The service was excellent — warm, attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Great food, great wine and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

The best meal ever, wr go out at least twice a week, but this is the best will be rebooking often.

My visit was nostalgic. My first visit on a visit from Sydney was in the middle 60's, then more frequent from 1970 when I was transferred to Melbourne and much more through to the end of the Century. I am happy to state, it is still Jimmy Watson's, thank you very much.
