The staff were courteous and the food was delicious. Had good experience and my family enjoyed the dinner.

It is worth seeking BASE out at the Marks and Spencer's end of Barnes High St because the food is fresh and more interesting than much of what is on offer from the multiples nearby. The space is modern, light and airy and more spacious than you expect from the relatively modest access. I also heard no music - great!!! We booked for lunch and were shown to a good table by the charming manageress. My wife ordered an omelette which arrived hot, fresh and perky. I ordered a vegan dish which arrived fresh and unexpectedly tasty. I am not a regular vegan and was pleasantly surprised at what a good light meal it made. BASE makes a welcome contribution to the Barnes restaurant scene. Someone has invested a lot of money and thought into it. If it was my restaurant, I would increase profits by creating more tables where couples could sit together rather than opposite each other.

I really love Yolo. There are some dishes that are simply outstanding (Signature Crispy Aubergine Strips are amazing! Sichuan Zhong Dumplings in Chili Sauce - so good! And I definitely recommend Bolied Beef in Chili Oil). The Mapo Tofu was good but not great. Service was good, but it took a fairly long time to get our cocktails. Still, the dishes they do well are incredible.
