Established in 2004, Stein’s Richmond is right on the riverside just meters from Richmond Bridge with views towards Richmond Hill. It’s an outdoor Bavarian restaurant that we and indeed everyone else in this part of London can’t seem to get enough of. Its location makes it naturally very popular and this popularity means the atmosphere is always on point. All that, before you’ve even got to the food and drink. Stein’s Richmond is a great spot for true Bavarian cuisine and everything from coffee and cakes to a hearty dinner with wurst and all the trimmings is available. Round things off with some fine Bavarian beer and you’re not far off a dream. You’ll find Stein’s Richmond on Petersham Road where it’s worth heading from pretty much wherever you are in London.

The Octoberfest Pub in Fulham brings a year-round Oktoberfest to London, with everything from over 60 different German beers to bratwurst imported directly from the famous German beer festivals suppliers. Work up a thirst with the small but spicy snack salami, then tuck into the hearty pork knuckle: 900g of succulent pork on the bone, roasted till crisp and served with chips and sauerkraut. Meat-centric though it is, Octoberfest Pub takes care of vegetarians with a delicious Käsespätzle (German Pasta) served with a garden salad. But save room for the authentic apple strudel – it’s sehr gut!

Stein’s Kingston is London bar, restaurant and biergarten that’s as German as they come. Throughout the day and into the night Stein’s Kingston is a wonderfully cosy spot for brunch, coffee, a light bite or indeed a Bavarian-style dinner – all the food is imported directly from Germany, of course – but after 10pm it’s a place to enjoy a gourmet cocktail or sip on a proper German beer. You’ll find Stein’s Kingston on the High Street of, yep, Kingston upon Thames and even though it’s a modern, quite chic space, it still oozes that traditional Bavarian charm. If you’re in or around this part of London, Stein’s Kingston is a solid bet for very pleasant time.
