Cocina del Mar at Esperanza Resort
I have been dining here for 18+ years and I really can never get enough of this place. I truly love everything about your establishment...the wait staff, the food, the presentation and the ambiance. I will be back again and again until the day I die. :)
The tables were spaced out far enough so it felt fairly private. The only thing better than the view was the food. It’s a bit pricey but worth it
Beautiful place with excellent service & food
Nice location, great ambience and nice service but food is ok.
Great service and wonderful views
This was the second time we had visited this restaurant while on vacation in Cabo. It is truly spectacular. Overlooking the ocean, great food, beautiful climate.
The place looks very nice, food is overpriced for the quality you get, just to add I have been traveling a lot and enjoy good food and will pay no matter how much if it’s worth it. We got ripped off, they brought us only a slip with the final price (no bill break down), when we asked to have it, it took them 15 minutes to bring. They charged us for something we did not have and they made up some prices and added a lot of additional fees including the tip which was already included in the price. They were not busy. I asked to see the menu to compare prices by they pushed us almost out because they were closing. Be aware and pay your attention
Amazing place to eat. The food was just as good as the view. The view was spectacular!
Beautiful views and top notch food! Definitely will visit this place again when we return.
Great dining experience. Cocina del Mar is great for special occasions or date night. The view is amazing. We hope to return again.
You can't beat this view and the food was amazing! Our server Rogelio was also great.
I've been here 2x previous and generally found the experience worth the money.
this time the service was so rushed we had finished 3 courses in 60 minutes and paid nearly $150 per person. It felt like a quick business lunch with one course arriving just as the previous one was cleared. The food quality was not up to the prices they charged
We dined at Las Ventanas the night before and the experience, and food quality was vastly superior.
Beautiful, ocean view dining. Great food and experience.
Well, it’s worth going once for the spectacular view even in darkness. The tables sit out on a rocky outcropping with the rocks and ocean illuminated below. It makes for a very romantic memorable setting and the architectural design and planning is commendable. The service is also excellent. The food however was massively overpriced and I am happy to pay a lot for a great dining experience. My shrimp dish (served artfully in a bowl of hot rocks) was uninspired, lacking flavor or the usual interesting dips. The menu had limited selection and the wine was overpriced. They should have 4 $$ and not the 3 $$ listed on Open Table... there’s a reason they don’t list a menu with prices on it. For a much better meal go to Edith’s or to Bajo La Luna for WAY better food at half the price. If you want a view, then go to The Office on the beach or the The Ledge or The Roof Top at the Cape
Fabulous view. Excellent service. Memorable experience. Highly recommend.
Food was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was very very good. The only down sides were that we waited over 20 min for our table to be ready they said they had a lot of reservations or something which was kind of annoying. The prices here are on the higher end as well just so people will know. However I would return again all things considered.
The views are spectacular. However the price of dinner was not worth the amount of food served. Burrata salad was very small. Lobster ravioli was at best an appetizer size. Suggest going in for cocktails at sunset and go somewhere else for dinner.
We really enjoyed our fish and the experience!
We came here because of all of the great reviews, location, views, etc. All was pretty much as described and they seated us next to the cliffs as we had asked for. This is a beautiful, very high end resort but the service was horrible. After we received our meal, we never saw our waiter again until we got our check. Had to get up to pour our own wine, which is not a hardship, but was not expected in this type of restaurant. The food was good, not exceptional. The clam dinner was the best value, tons of clams and sausage. Not sure if we will come here again.
Excellent view and food that come with a premium price... It was worth it for us, but be aware that a shared appetizer, two entrees, one of their least expensive bottles of wine, and tip came out to just over $300 U.S.
Food is way over priced for the quality
We juat had a wonderful experience from the time we were greeted by the hostess till our valet delivered our car at departure. Perfectly lovely in every way!
Outstanding in every way. Special mention must go out to our server Daniel who was simply superb! We could not have asked for better attention to detail, service and enjoyment.
Fine food and service makes this one of the finest dining experiences we have encountered. The service was professional yet unobtrusive. The outdoor dining experience is breathtaking. The menu selections offer something for all palates. The wine menu has a superb choice of international bottles as well as a good array by the glass.
The view if phenomenal, but $110 for a piece of fish is kind of silly. Food was good, not great, and to my mind, just way overpriced. If you are all about the ambiance, the view is certainly fantastic.
Cocina Del Mar was outstanding in every way. The food was superb, the service impeccable and the setting was spectacular. One of the finest dining experiences in many years.
Excellent, but too expensive for what we ate.
Wonderful food and a spectacular location with a terrific views of the ocean and incredible sunsets while dining.
A real foodie place to dine or a destination dinner to satisfy anyone.
The setting is fantastic but the quality of the food and the price do not equate. Way overpriced for the quality
Service was slow and waiter did not explain that the service charge was in the bill. Not apologetic when asked about it and about why he was unavailable for long stretches. Unfortunate to have to review a beautiful restaurant so low but for the high price tag service needs to be much better
Enjoyed it very much! Food was excellent!!
Creative cuisine; also- Banana soufflé was to die for!
great views and social atmosphere, food was pretty great! I read some reviews and maybe I just picked the wrong items but portions were a little small
Wonderful place with great service. And you can’t beat the view!
its au Berge....and it lives up to the reputation in every sense.
Fabulous gardens down the drive to entrance. Enchanted lighting and setting on the rocks where the Sea of Cortez meets the Sand.
Wines available were challenging (limited quantities of some and others not available) and marked up pretty high for a local that knows prices.
Service staff was some of the very best in all of Cabo. Very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. Completely charming and wonderful.
Bill was $700 US for 4 people with 3 bottles of wine, but only TWO entrees.
Amazing location with incredible service and food to match!
Call to confirm but every Thursday night at 7:45pm they have fireworks. Totally unexpected for us but awesome.
Our dinner was great the food was well prepared and service was excellent. The fireworks were an exciting bonus on Thursday and made the night under the stars perfect
Absolutely stunning view and ambiance that simply cannot be beat. The wait staff was wonderful. Food and wine good but very pricey. The rocks, cliffs crashing waves and ambiance was truly amazing and made the evening very memorable!
It was a beautiful experience with my children
