We went for Father’s Day and had a great experience and food! Dalton was our waiter and he did a fantastic job!
After being seated inside we asked for an outside table, we we told "no problem", then had to wait 20 minutes. We did have a great waiter, he even went out of his way to find the wine we ordered in the wine cellar. Our food was good, Peruvian chicken for me and crab cakes for my wife, around 9:00 PM live music as played on the patio outside.
My wife and I went to Clyde's for a date night. We asked to be seated outside. The outdoor patio is beautiful, however it is right next to a smoking bar and outdoor area which we didn't realize until midway through our meal. By then we were faced flagging our server, interrupting our meal and asking to be moved, or sticking it out. We maybe should have chosen the latter in hindsight as the number of smokers continued to grow. My chicken dish was good, wife was disappointed with her crab cake which was on the dry side.
Great food and a beautiful restaurant!
Great service from Jamie and excellent food
Wow, have been a fan of Clyde's since they opened especially the old Omelette Room in Georgetown in the 70s but for the first time, it seems, they've gone to a fixed printed menu and the fun variety of foods is GONE! There used to be 3 things I wanted from their daily menu every time I went in. Now it's hard to find ONE. Don't get me wrong, it's still delicious and the service and ambiance is all Clyde's, but now the meat choices are really expensive, rivaling Ruth's Chris and other high end steakhouses. Very disappointed to the point that I'm not returning. So sad! Please go back to custom daily menus, Clyde's.
Food was similar to Applebee’s. There was a wedding so there was music pumping during our lunch. Has to ask for too many items the server was unattentive. Disappointed since the last time I was there which was over a year ago. Something changed and not for the better. Horrible value for the food and service
This place has the ambience of a 17th Century Colonial tavern. Access and parking are convenient and there is a sufficiently diverse menu that anyone can find something they like. The desserts are the best so, make sure you save some room. The favorites are the hot fruit cobblers that come in an 8" cast-iron skillet which are big enough for two to share.
We are always pleased with our dining experience at Clyde’s. Only complaint is that the steaks are pricey and you have to pay for the sides/salad separately. We love the atmosphere and the service is always top notch. It’s what brings us back again and again!
Our service was absolutely horrible. We had all our food late and cold; our waiter didn’t attend to us when we were in need of water refills and condiments; our fries were extremely salty, the chili received was cold and overall just unhappy with the service. We complained to the manager and he didn’t assist us as requested. We waited about 15 minutes until another manager came to take over. She was extremely nice and accommodating but not sure we will ever be returning back. The restaurant wasn’t even crowded so not sure why the service was so poor.
Nice dinner. Good service. Thanks you.
I've been eating at Clyde's for 25 years and the food is better than ever. Everything that our party ordered was excellent. There was a mix-up between servers so that we never got our appetizer, but they comped a dessert -- the brownie sundae, which is one of the most enormous (and delicious) desserts I've ever had. And the Willow Creek location is spectacular.
Wife and I were able to have an evening date at the last minute, and we both agreed to head to Clyde's. Our waiter was the best we've had. The food was excellent, we both tried apps and dinners we hadn't had before. We were both really happy with our visit, no one thing in particular, but the entire experience was just what I should expect every time. It was just excellent dining.
Great service and great food. Thanks for providing consistent place to dine with friends.
I had made reservations at least a week in advance for five people. They seated us at a table for four and put a chair in the aisle for the fifth person. Because of this seating I constantly had the waiters arm in my face. I was told we could not get a different table because they were reserved for parties of six. The menu items are nothing special. I don't eat sandwiches or burgers for dinner and expected more variety in the food selection. The food was good but not exceptional. It was the kind of food I could get at Ruby Tuesday's. I'm taking this restaurant off my list of places to go. The previous time tbe service was so bad we got many items free. Waiting 30 minutes for one dessert was ridiculous. The dining rooms are also getting run down.
Worst experience at any restaurant in quite a while. Will not be returning
Very nice time
The waiter was so polite
Went there to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent. It was prapared perfectly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The sommelier knew his wines and provided tastings to make sure we were happy with our selection. We were seated in one of the smaller rooms so it was very confortable and quiet.
We are pretty much regulars here and when they offer the Soft Shell crab I always get that. It was good and our entire party had different meals that everyone enjoyed. crab cakes, Filet and the New York strip. We ate in the first room off to the left and was very cozy.
our waiter, Kevin, was terrific. The mojito so delicious!
Their menu is great, atmosphere is very relaxing and stylish. there was a large crowd of ladies seated right next to our booth, so the noise level was very high. that would be the only downer to the night.
We have visited this particular Clyde's several times, when we are visiting the area. The building and décor are such an attraction in themselves. Waitstaff are always excellent. What a treat to dine with you.
Such an amazing property, the calamari is a must!
Made the reservation for my teen-age daughter's birthday. Everything was great, waitress attentive and friendly, and Clyde's provided a free brownie-and-ice cream (daughter's favorite). Clyde's is one of my favorite restaurants.
After several years of dining at Clyde's of Willow Creek we have become accustomed to an excellent standard of top service of finely prepared food from the simple to the elegant. It is always a worthwhile experience, especially for special ocassions such as birthdays and anniversaries. No matter what the ocassion after dining at Clyde's of Willow Creek we always feel like we have had the best experience possible at a reasonable price.
It was our 32nd anniversary and the food and service were outstanding. We have been to Clydes several times and are always impressed with the caliber of the food. Also the decor is really nice.
I have never had a bad experience at any Clydes restaurant.
Birthday celebration. The bone-in ribeye was very good. Prices are higher for the area, but you pay for the ambiance.
On our reservation I noted "outside seating preferred." We drove 24 miles anticipating a nice leisurely dinner on the patio. When we arrived, we were informed that the outdoor seating was not available due to a private party. We were seated in the indoor "cafeteria"....
We were disappointed that, knowing our preference to sit outside, the staff made no attempt to advise us of the unavailability before our long drive.
Wait staff very good. Filet had to go back because it was over cooked and not Med rare. New plate came out quickly. We got compensated w a glass of wine. Coffee not hot but corrected quickly.
Good Food served well in pleasant surroundings. But then, that is why I choose to be a Clyde's customer. I believe that I have eaten a good meal in every one of the Clyde's restaurants. I haven't been disappointed in any of them
Surroundings are beautiful. Multiple, vast rooms, warm ambience. Knowledgeable, intelligent, efficient, enjoyable, unintrusive service.
Food at Clydes Reston where I've eaten more than 30 times, and now for my first time at Willow Creek, has dropped many notches in interest, innovation, level of seasoning, and that extra finesse that can elevate a meal. Clydes used to present what felt like in-house, chef driven cooking, but that is gone. The whole operation now feels totally corporatized, starting with the one size fits all, bland menu..
You can still get a good meal. Wife's single soft shell crab couldn't have been better. My lentil/brown rice burger on naan bread was almost great, but with much more prominent "curry" sesoning and a bit more sauce, it would have been. The fries were excellent. The fruit sides ordered by 2 in the party were not in the least special, no fresh berries... mainly melon, maybe a pineapple chunk. One member of the party was bitterly (really!) disappointed to find the traditional cornbread gone and unavailable, even with his anticipated favorite, chili. Clydes used to comp two very nice breads together, one of them the too sweet cornbread, the other very fresh white bread, or focaccia. Now, an inferior, non-crusty soft, semi-sliced loaf is the offering. Worst of all and best demonstrating the new Clyde’s, was the hummus “Appetizer” — a bowl of puréed chickpeas with a teaspoon of oil on top is not hummus. Not one of the 4 of us could detect tahini, olive oil, or garlic. It came with a small amount of good pita, and absurdly huge junks of carrot, cucumber,, cauliflower–huge junks means I had to cut them up at table in order to share or even eat them.
It was a birthday celebration for a friend that just turned 88. She had never been to Clydes.
Excellent dinner. Cocktails and entrees were all very good. Still the most beautiful restaurant around and proud it's in our backyard.
Willow Creek farm never fails to provide a memorable night out. With friends or just a couple, you'll enjoy the unique building and furnishings as well as the meal and service.
Great service and great food!
Great time. Great place. We really enjoyed our time there.
Had the herb and cheese ravioli, little disappointed with the amount - 5 raviolis for $17.00...
Loved the whole experience.. will be returning soon.
