We ordered 2 Margarita pizzas that were tasty except that 1/2 of each had burnt crusts. The 2 people that had the burnt sections did not complain. Otherwise we had a good experience.

Returned to Clayton's after we discovered it a year ago during a getaway to Siesta Key. Atmosphere is fun - love the whimsical artwork on the wall! Service was great. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Food was really good! I had a pizza. I didn't think I would eat the whole thing, but it was so delicious I ate every bite. Crust was crispy, and pizza had just the right amount of cheese and sauce, and full of flavor! Caesar salad was good but not exceptional. It was crisp and fresh but lacking flavor punch typical of Caesar and croutons were mediocre. My husband had the catch of the day and ate every bite! Delicious!! We both agreed the calamari was not good at all though the dipping sauce was amaaazing! I ended up eating the calamari because the sauce was just that good. Calamari itself was greasy, chewy, and not crispy at all. So, overall a great experience and we can't wait to come again during our next getaway. We will skip the calamari though.

A fun atmosphere everyone enjoying themselves buzzy environment. Food was excellent and more gourmet than ypud expect from a casual beachy place. Service was on time as well as food times. Recommend. Will return.

We went there based on hearing they had a really good filet mignon. Unfortunately it did not live up to the other reviews we read. Both filets had a lot of fat that you could not even get through leaving a lot of loss on a $40+ entree. They also did not have any flavor to them and they added blue cheese and a sauce over the top of it. Just not a good combination. Maybe change it to a sirloin or go to Captain Kirk’s. One of us had the grouper and they said it was decent but not worth the price. Another person had a burrata salad and the meatball appetizer. The salad was really good. The meatballs were decent. The gumbo was the best item on the menu. But a $200+ bill should have been wow and not eh.

Used to be our favorite restaurant on Siesta Key- something has sadly changed. Went twice this week and both time it did not live up to past experiences over several years.in both times dinners came out less than hot. Temperature of food should be a basic “cost of entry” or expectation at a restaurant. Never a problem in prior-years…has something changed in the kitchen? Oversight? We may give it one more try on a “three strike your out” philosophy but wonder if the ownership really cares. Clayton does a good-business,but there are a lot of good restaurants at that price level.
