Amazing food and the best dirty martinis!
My second time here and it was horrible nothing like the first dining experience. Waitress was not friendly at all, over charged us because we had to send back a sandwich that was too salty. She didn’t ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks. Arnold Palmer was made with pink lemonade.
Our food was good. My Husband ordered prime rib, he had to send it back to be cooked a little more because it was too rare. Despite only ordering ice tea & no appetizers our bill was still about $92.00, prior to the tip. Good food, great service, but quite pricey. That's the going rate eating out nowadays.
Food was very good after I had to send it back, was cold! Service was a little slow, but overall, very good!
The meal for all four of us was sub-par and over priced for what we received. The cocktails were also not tasty as a cheap mix was used. The only good thing about the meal was the service. Very good wait staff and hostess staff.
What happened to the quality Bully’s had thirty years ago and reputation for a great meal?? Too many wonderful places in San Diego than to waste your money and meal on Bully’s.
Great food and drinks! Prime rib is excellent of course and the service was great.
the prime rib was tasty, very tender, well cut, and appropriately cooked. The salad was something from Dennys and triple overdressed. Massed potatoes were fine but bland. Au jus was way too salty. Macaroni andchesse looked like it had been microwaved way too many times, was not cheesy, and was so salty it was almost inedible.
I’ve been going there for years and it’s always been great. Unfortunately I don’t know if it was just an off day but the service was pretty bad, it took a long time to get the food and we were charged for items we never got. The menus changed from what it used to be but over all the food was great. I’ll definitely be back to try it again.
We have been there before and steak was amazing. 5 of us ordered different steaks. Prime rib was good. Steaks were so chard tasted like the grill. Took home to dogs.
Ordered bone-in 11oz prime rib. The quality of the meat was very good but it was cold. Literally cold.
The salad was out of a bag! What, you can’t cut your own lettuce?
The ribs were excellent but they ran out!!!!! My husband got the last two.
I am sure we will give it another try and hope for a better experience.
Food is always consistently great. Been going there for 44 years. Now we live in Mission Valley, its our neighborhood restaurant.
We had a reservation and still waited 20 minutes after our reservation. The server came to our table to let us know she would be with us “when she could” but help the tables around us. When I ordered a drink she felt the need to tell me how much it cost before she placed the order. When we received our meal our orders were completely wrong. My family and I will never be going back that’s for sure.
Wonderful food and atmosphere— great service
Great prime rib.
Bully's has been around for as long as I've lived in San Diego and probably longer. It's a steak and prime rib mainstay and also the famous Bully Burger. It's old style dark wood and red vinyl which suits it just fine. It has a loyal following. Prices, compared with other steak houses, are very reasonable. It's not just beef though. The menu has many other options too.
prime rib was excellent
our waitress Jackie was the best
Pleasant dinner experience for us. Would recommend highly.
Prime rib was outstanding!
Baked potato & salad pretty sad.
The service was great and we were seated right away. The food was good, although not outstanding. I had the prime rib dip and my bread was soggy but the meat was excellent. It was a little noisy, but that wouldn’t stop me from returning.
Just outstanding food! Ribeye was delicious as was salmon pasta. Could not recommend more strongly
Food was OK. Bread is by request only. A little remodel would be nice.
we missed having complimentary bread served at the table. the food arrived not as warm as it should be. our prime rib was slightly overcooked, maybe from spending too much time under the warming lights.
we've had many good meals at Bully's. this was not up to par.
Made a reservation for 12:30 (lunch) and were given breakfast menus. They kindly gave us a "lunch" menu, which had dinner prices, and said any specials were not valid until 2-2:30. Service was good as was the food. Prices, not so much.
Still the best stake and prime in town. See you next time.
Always the best prime rib in San Diego. Bully's has good service a nice wine list and fresh, hot food.
It was nice but service a little slow. The service was handling tables all over the place and was trying her best but had too many tables to do a better job.
We’re longtime fans of this old-school beef restaurant/sports bar. Prices have risen considerably (especially since we were fans of the early bird special). I wouldn’t go anywhere else for prime rib. Weekend breakfast is good as well.
Definitely a steak joint! Service was good despite their shortage with staff. Great for large groups!
Haven't been here in 10 years but everything was the same. Good prime rib and appetizers. Pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The next time we are in San Diego, Bully's will be our go to place.
Service was slow, food items did not match or was missing items listed in the menu.
Dined for our Anniversary Dinner and to watch the MLB All Star Game. Ambiance in bar and in the dining room was perfect. The dining room had tvs mounted throughout the dining area and the staff was friendly and great - even accommodating changing the channel to the closest TV for us to the MLB All Star Game. Excellent experience and we will definitely be back again.
Old school steakhouse meets sports bar vibe. The prime rib melt was everything you’d want it in a meat sammy, and the prices are wayyyyy better than those you’ll find in the gas lamp district. Definitely worth the 10 minute drive.
Bully’s is an old time prime rib restaurant that has survived the times and we were happy to see that it’s still attracting a young crowd, not just those of us who have known it for years. There are some updates to the menu for today’s tastes but the old reliables are still there. It retains the red leather and dark wood look and that works for them. Food is consistently good.
First time at Bully's with food, service, ambience "good" all around. Prices very good. I would go back. Great comfortable seating to eat and 'watch the game' at the sametime.
The prime ribs were excellent. The service was outstanding. Would definitely come back!
We’ve been going here since the 90s. The service is great. The food is excellent. It’s nice but not fancy or pretentious. The owner was there and greeted us and handled a mistaken order. We had a blast and love the food and will be back. And reasonable for a steak house.
Last of the Bully’s! (Bird Rock and Del Mar RIP). Hope it never changes.
Enjoyed everything and the prime rib was excellent. As per the wife "that was the perfect dinner date", so it appears we have a new favorite spot. Thanks Bullys!
