Next time will specify not to sit in the bar area. Way too noisy and impossible communicate with each other. Everyone was satisfied with their meals
Guest was given a Birthday cheesecake with candle. A lot of restaurants have stopped doing it so glad I chose Bully"s to celebrate.
Delicious salads. Fabulous dressings. Iced tea refilled regularly. Enjoyed our lunch
I had a fly in my salad ☹️. Waitress was great 😊. Main entrée was very slow to come out ☹️. Prime rib was excellent👍🏼.
Once again, awesome food and service!! Always a great pleasure to dine here!!
We have all been dining at Billy’s since 1978. We wanted to patronize our locally owned and (was) favorite restaurant. The service was the best I have had in sometime although the front desk was a little unorganized. But they were friendly. I chalk it up to young inexperienced and understand. I had the steak and enchiladas with baked potato. The meat was cooked to perfection but the enchilada was slipped in a small bowl. It was hard as a rock. The baked potato may have come from someone else’s meal last week. Hard as a rock. Not one to complain, I just didn’t eat either. Of course I will go back but please put asparagus on the menu and the return of the homemade kiwi pie. I miss JD’s idea of Bully’s. Perhaps it is for his sons generation now and not the great quality it once was. It’s still my local place with lots of memories.
Very good prime rib. Its horseradish crusted and that is amazing. The waitress was excellent. The old fashion was true new york style (dinner one not happy hour dont know on that one). Their street corn delicious. loved it all.
Bully's has had the best prime rib in SanDiego for 50 years
I would be lying if I didn't admit that I was skeptical about our visit ahead of time. However, the food and service were amazing. It is among the best prime rib dinners I've ever had! Stephanie was incredibly attentive and created a great experience.
We'll definitely go back the next time we're in San Diego!
Ribeye was excellent!
We were there for Lunch. Great selection of choices, all inviting. The service was prompt and friendly and the menu items oredered were all tasty and the portions were "fit for a family".
I love going to Bullys, been there a few dozen times. The food is always great One of the best steakhouses in San Diego.
I’m a long time client of Bully’s last night I asked for just butter on my baked potato and got sour cream and chives the potato was very hard the bus boy needs to learn restaurant etiquette the prime rib was delicious The bread use to be warm and it wasn’t last night
This place is a classic staple in San Diego! Love it!
My waitress was wonderful. She was friendly and very efficient. The 16 ounce prime rib was very rare, exactly the way I like it. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that instead of being $45, the cost was now stated on the menu “market price“. I love prime rib and steak and Bully’s is my favorite restaurant for prime rib. However, it seems to me that restaurants are raising prices to recoup the business lost due to Covid. I don’t mind spending the 3% surcharge because it’s a negligible amount. But I do resent paying $10 more than I did a few weeks ago. Yes, restauranteurs have been going through a hard time, But so have the customers. No matter what, Bully’s has the best prime rib anywhere.
A bit too noisy. Must be everyone being out and about.
Our waitress was AMAZING- very friendly and attentive. Food was really good as always.
We had an enjoyable lunch in pleasant surroundings. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was great.
We enjoyed the table and the food for the most part; the service was excellent expect for one tiny glitch which was understandable for the crowd.
We had no complaints with our food.
Unfortunately the service we get there 10 min before our reservation and they had us waiting until the hour. And I would understand if they were busy . But actually they weren’t busy at all. Our waitress had us waiting for drinks we had to ask for a beer twice. We had two children with us and asked for a booster seat and a high chair. We had to ask twice for it and with about 15 min between.
Overall there were more little details that we did not appreciate.
But again the food was great just poor customer service.
Food and service was great! I can’t wait to go back!
Nice old school Steakhouse. Good drinks. Good food. Friendly service, even being under staffed. Decent prices.
Service was great and so was the food which came from the kitchen still sizzling.
We sat on the bar side in a booth for a late Mother’s Day dinner. The food and service is always wonderful! Our server, I think her name was Lexi, was so sweet and attentive. We’ll always come back to Bullys!
I love that the music is not load and you can have a conversation without screaming.
My late husband & I loved eating at Bully’s so when my mom said “my pick” for Mother’s Day,I chose Bully’s. He passed May 10, 2013.
The food was as amazing as I remember! The only thing I didn't care for was being seated near the bar. I would have preferred to be in on of the main dining areas. I think the restaurant should have asked or maybe this could be a question on the app.
Wow! What a night. I’ll try to keep it brief and to the point.
-The waitress Didn’t listen to our orders.
-I was charged for an 11oz prime rib when I asked for an 8oz.
-We sent the 11oz meat back 4 times when the cook couldn’t get a prime rib well done. This was the same meat with cuts in it.
-Once the meat was well done, the meat was so SALTY we wouldn’t even eat it.
-I received 4 scoops of butter on my plate and sent back 3 to the manager to probably throw away.
-The side dish was over cooked and dry even with sour cream (Potato).
-My prime rib wasn’t even. The cut was shaped like a triangle where one side was thicker than the other.
-When done with dinner, the waitress Didn’t ask if anyone wanted dessert.
-After dinner, my dog LOVED the salty meat that was sent back 4 times. This says a lot.
Great food. Will do brunch there more.
Brie was cold and not melted
Filet was well done ordered med
Was over charged approx $77.00 mistakenly.
Offered a free dessert when our table ordered two for our group I was reminded that they will only cover one of them.
Waitress was training, Was there over 2 hours.
3% surcharge on order . Pay your employee don’t put it onto us.
Filet was great. Prime rib was small and over cooked as a blackened dish. Would not recommend.
The steaks come with salad or soup and a side. Great value. Doesn’t look like they raised their prices like every other restaurant. I am glad I remembered this little jewel. I recommend!!
Once again, great service, friendly atmosphere, food and drink were great!
Our server Davy was great!! She was friendly, attentive and checked on us throughout the dinner. The salad was chilled and the blue cheese dressing is delicious. The prime rib is great but I tried the horseradish crust this time, not a favorite.
Amazing experience from beginning to end! Staff is very welcoming.. Food is so delicious!!!
Food was excellent! Bar service was great! Server forgot to bring our appetizer out first, came out after our meals. So we just made it our dessert. ;) She also mixed up sides with entrees. Normally not a big deal however, there was only a few people in the establishment so they weren’t busy. All good, because food made up for it.
Fantastic experience at Bully’s. Staff was very attentive and the prime rib sandwich was a 10/10. Fresh bun, great house-made horseradish sauce and the perfectly tender prime rib made it exceptional.
First of all we were seated at the end table by the kitchen. When I inquired about another table I was told this table was all they had as they had a lot of reservations that night. Well we had a reservation, were 10 minute early and there were empty tables.
Next, if it hadn’t been my husband’s birthday, I would have sent back the salads. They were made up of brown lettuce chopped into small pieces. The once large croutons were tiny and covering the salad was the crouton crumbs, like what you find at the bottom of the bag! My husband had the New York steak. It was not even an inch thick, overcooked, and the consistency was awful, kind of mealy. My prime rib melt was good. His baked potato wasn’t even good-how can you ruin a baked potato! It was like all of the food was old.
Lastly, it was my husband’s birthday and no complimentary dessert was offered.
We will not return. It was a waste of money!
Was Nice and Quiet had room to my self
Prime rib was good but the accompanying mashed potatoes were terrible--very dry. Salad was excellent.
Service was great, staff was friendly, food was the best.
Great time. Great prime rib.
