Acerca de B.S. Taqueria
B.S. Taqueria calificaciones y reseñas
These were some of the best tacos our group has ever had! We got every single one on the menu! There is some kick in just about everything so be careful if you are not into spicy food. We cannot wait to come back and eat more tacos and guacamole! We also loved their mole fries and bean dip.
Delicious but SPICY - be forewarned. Almost everything on the menu has some degree of spice, so if you don't like spicy food, don't go (this is the only reason why I don't give 5 stars for the food). Food was organic and creative. Maybe if you ask they can lessen the level of "hot"...
I was in LA to see Phila Eagles play the LA Rams. Went to the restaurant because conveniently located near my hotel and the prices were very decent for the food we got. Arrived in time for Happy Hour and shared a picher of Margaritas with my son. They were very good and fairly priced at $24. The tacos were also good but all you got was one small taco (just $2) so you're going to need to eat quite a few depending on how hungry you are. Also had a Chorizo Cheeseburger and it was very tasty but a bit greasy (for my taste) but very faitly priced at $8 on the Happy hour menu. Overall a very good value for the price.
Really wanted to love this place but everything was SO SPICY. Let me preface that I LOVE spicy food and have a high tolerance for heat. Everything, even the beans and rice was way way too hot. And the flavors uniform. There could have been such yummy food but my mom didn't go numb. Everyone at our table had the same reaction and we left with numb tongues. Maybe the line cook was a little heavy handed with the cayenne the other night. Will be back to see if its a fluke.
Had a very nice time here. Arrived in time for the Happy Hour pitchers of margaritas and dove right in to Guacamole, Bean Dip and Ceviche Tostada, all of which were excellent.
Split the Chorizo Cheeseburger (thumbs up) and the Carne Asada (thumbs down, bland at best) main plates. Our colleagues split the trout and said it was excellent. For dessert, the Churros were OK, but the Tres Leches was GREAT.
Would have gotten 5 stars except for the Carne Asada and the "too loud" atmosphere. We were a party of 7 and I could only converse with the people next to and across from me. So we spent the dinner divided into parties of 4 and 3 for conversation. We were in the back room, so perhaps the front room would have been better for conversation.
Again, would definitely recommend for some good tapas and drinks, but if you are look to have a nice conversation with your party, eat quick and find a quieter spot.
I've been hearing about BS Taqueria for some time and tried it before a game this week. It was okay but nothing special. The tacos are good and actually quite similar to those available their stand at Staples Center. Guacamole and roasted corn are also very good while beans and rice and salad were okay. For a quick bite it's fine but not a place to linger.
Just about everything is smothered in hot sauce, even the guac although it doesn't say it on the menu. If you have sensitivity to spicy I would recommend (even if the menu doesn't say spicy) just to ask for anything you order without hot sauce. Overall amazing place and delish food, just could be a little less spicy! It was also hard to get more water.
We really liked this place. We were having a pre-theater snack and the service was so fast it seemed instant! It is kind of noisy and cramped but that is part of the charm. The food was consistently excellent, although we only had a small sampling of what was offered. The ceviche was perfect, and this can be a difficult dish to get right. We would definitely go back again, no problem.
Two guests. Each ordered fish tacos, which were incredibly average (they were very comparable to Rubio's). Despite being really greasy, I enjoyed my Chorizo & Papas taco. My friend ordered a shrimp taco, which was way too spicy for her taste. So spicy, she couldn't finish . A warning would on the menu would have been appreciated.
Also ordered the Rice & Beans side. There was too strong of a lemon flavor for my friend, so much so it was inedible. "Fair" food rating was based on shrimp taco being too spicy and poor experience with the Rice & Beans.
Great service, the people were very nice. The "outside" patio is not actually outside! It's a faux outside feel but the back room is much quieter than the front dining area! The front of the house felt more casual than the back. The food was amazing but everything was VERY spicy! For anyone who likes their meals with a little kick, this spot is for you! Almost everything we ordered was spicier than we had expected. I wish someone would have warned us on the spice levels! I don't know if we looked past it on the menu but even like a 1-10 spiciness rating would be really helpful. Overall a fantastic experience though. We really enjoyed ourselves!
Great atmosphere, food and service in a hidden gem located in an area downtown that I would not expect to have a nice restaurant. Walking there, it seemed like a shady area. Stepping inside, was like walking into a little piece of Mexico. Great, traditional decor.
Food was very tasty. The nachos were amazing. The a la cartel tacos, tho small, were delicious and quite filling. The margaritas are highly recommended. Definitely a hidden gem.
This is our favorite taqueria in LA. The guacamole and bean dip starters were excellent, as were the chorizo and papas, carnitas and fish tacos. Don't miss churros with chocolate sauce for dessert - I didn't know churros could be so light. Highly recommended!
The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was pretty inattentive even during the first part of our visit when the restaurant was still fairly quiet. We requested more chips to go with our guacamole but they never came. The ice tea was unusual with a very strong (and unpleasant taste) and I think we should have been told what to expect when we ordered so we could have decided if we still wanted ice tea. The waitress kept trying to take away our plates before they were empty. That is actually the most attention we got from her all evening. A so so experience overall.
BS Taqueria is super yummy and the margaritas are delicious. More important, however, was the service. Our waitress was amazing, had great knowledge of the menu, got our drink orders in before the end of happy hour and was very sweet and attentive.
