                                                THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH IN CALGARY!!!!! Honestly!!! The restaurant Market used to hold this title but it closed down before Covid. AND...With the reintroduction of the new and improved fried chicken sandwich at Bow Valley...you won't be disappointed! The mayo sauce is a secret concoction of delightfulness...and the coleslaw and pickles are to die for! Honestly that coleslaw inside is soooo much better than the cabbage they used to put in there. KUDOS TO THE CHEFS for improving this dish to PERFECTION!!!!

                                                Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is an excellent choice whether it's for lunch or dinner. The food is prepared properly and carefully .... so TASTY. The staff works hard to make your visit relaxing and enjoyable. Our server, Aiden, was courteous, attentive and very accommodating. We appreciated this very much.

                                                Unfortunately our service was slow, delayed, servers were confused, 2 drink orders were incorrect. Dessert orders were also delayed and incorrect. We had to ask for water 3 times and cutlery was missing for our main course (which was steak). I would say the service felt scattered and inattentive. Food quality and portion sizes were excellent. The room was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The ladies washroom in my opinion needs updating and missing toilet seats replaced.

                                                My partner, who has never been to the Bow Valley Ranche, and I had a wonderful evening last Saturday. The restaurant was very busy and loud! It was wonderful to see so many groups enjoying themselves with much lively conversation and boisterous laughter throughout the evening. That was so nice to see after our Covid years. Gabriel was our server for the evening and he was very attentive and ensured that our food was presented in a timely manner and that we were enjoying our evening. For appetizers we had: Bison Tartare Mussels ( these were outstanding with a lovely sauce in the bowl which we soaked up with huge slices of bread Our main course for both of us was Alberta Tenderloin cooked to perfection as medium rare. It was healthy portion and simply melt in your mouth. I added prawns, but, in retrospect, $14.00 for 3 prawns was expensive and really didn't add to the amazing meal. Dessert: Chocolate cheese cake Ice cream All in all, a memorable evening. Thank you!

                                                The restaurant is beautiful and the afternoon tea is a special treat we do once a year. Had a disappointing experience this time around. They crammed everyone into the front rooms (it looked like they were set up for big party in the main room) and it was freezing. Many of the guests were seated with their jackets on or scarves around their shoulders. When we asked if there was anything they could do, they said they would try to turn up the heat but not much else they could do. Unfortunately it impacted our overall experience.
