Phenomenal experience! Both food and service were outstanding. The attention to detail was amazing, including multiple people acknowledging our anniversary and our server bringing us “mocktails” for a toast because he noticed I was pregnant. Will definitely be back!
Awesome experience here tonight! With all things considered, about dining out and being in public right now, the team there did a great job making us feel safe and welcome. More than adequate spacing between tables, plenty of coverage over faces and hands, as well as socially distant conversation when confirming our orders or asking us how our experience was, made for a great night.
Always a good time here, and even with the current situation of the world, I would recommend going and checking it out. Worth the trip outdoors. If you’re craving a burger and a bourbon this is the place for you.

This past Saturday I had a birthday dinner that was scheduled well in advance. In the past I’ve had wonderful experiences at restaurants located Four Season’s hotels. Given that, I assumed Bourbon Steak would follow suit. Our overall experience was subpar, especially compared with restaurants of a similar caliber. Initially the host staff did a superb job and were very polite. Unfortunately that level of service was not carried throughout the evening. Our party sat unacknowledged for almost 10 minutes, then had to wait another few minutes just for water service. Our appetizers took exorbitantly long, I wish I had warned my guests to at least have had something small to eat before arriving. When we had finished our appetizers we sat and watched the staff walk past our table multiple times without clearing the plates or offering water. Finally one of my guests had to request more water and that our table be cleared. With dinner we ordered a bottle of wine. The initial wine service was great, but much like the water service it went down hill fast. After our initial glass of wine was poured we were left to fend for ourselves throughout the entirety of the evening. Our party was also never quality checked, leaving a couple of our guests unsatisfied with their meals and forced to have their partially finished dinners boxed up. And then there was dessert... I later found out one of my guests felt compelled, given the level of service, to speak to the hostess in order to make sure the staff knew who’s birthday was being celebrated. When the desserts came out, the dessert the birthday girl had ordered was obscurely placed in the center of the table, whilst a dessert that another guest had ordered was placed in front of her with a candle. Then, yet another dessert also came out with a candle and was placed in front of a confused guest. At least he was given the correct dessert I suppose? Clearly there was little to no communication among the staff.
Everyone was very safe, welcoming and the food was excellent.
Food is always delicious, as are the cocktails. Service as a little slow but I think they were busier than they anticipated.
this was the last steak I had before quarantine... unfortunately I order the $100 ribeye and had to ask was it sirloin. very tough. I was really disappointed in the quality. Find another steakhouse for your money's sake.
Excellent service. My wife’s filet was great, but my ribeye was very bland and ribeye is usually one of the more flavorful cuts of meat. We really liked the white asparagus side and the complementary French fries. We were disappointed in the limited selection of wines by the glass.

Service, Shelly was absolutely wonderful. However, the steak and scallops were served charred and had a burnt flavor to both entrees. We eat here on a regular basis and have never had a problem. Not sure what happened in the kitchen on the night we were there.
Amazing food and service. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and all of the sides were fantastic.
This is a great restaurant for very hungry foodies! Highly recommend for special occasions. The adjacent bar is very loud, which is the only detraction from my review. The service is excellent, but not intrusive.

Best Wagyu filet ever -- totally worth the expense. Rest of meal was terrific, too. Restaurant is a little loud, making conversation a bit difficult. But the food is awesome!

Very slow bar service. Asked the server to hold our appetizers (all cold dishes) until our cocktails came and we had some time to enjoy them. Didn’t work. Drinks and appetizers showed up together. Ordered a $60 steak medium and it was overcooked. Server replaced the steak but by then the rest of party was almost finished with their meal. Very very expensive wine list. For a restaurant inside a Four Seasons our experience was very disappointing.
The best steaks in DC and the best service. There’s a reason why I go back almost every time I’m in Washington.
Best meal we've ever had... Chef Mina absolutely perfected every aspect of the Wagyu NY strip, Truffle Mac & Cheese, and the Brussels Sprouts that we thoroughly enjoyed. Not to mention the Smoked S'mores were incredible. Highly recommend!
Service was inattentive and steak was underwhelming at best.
The service was wonderful. I ordered the wagyu 7+ filet blue and it arrived closer to medium temperature. It looked like they tried to do black and blue but it was thoroughly unsuccessful. I politely sent it back and the second time the steak arrived at the proper temperature. At a place that boasts a celebrity chef, Japanese wagyu steak, and $80+ cuts of meat I expected that they would have known how to cook a blue steak the first time. I don’t like sending things back.
I’ve visited the Bourbon Steak in Nashville and was worried this location wouldn’t compare due to some of the negative reviews but I was so wrong! We came here for valentines days and it was absolutely amazing. The menu was pretty diverse for a steak house, and everything we ordered was more than perfect! Steaks were great and cooked perfectly and I would def recommend getting the crab cake as it was one of the best ones I’ve had in a hot sec. The service was also amazing, everyone was very kind and we were checked on many times throughout the night. They also made sure our glasses were never empty and all our courses were timed perfectly. The only thing I might have been disappointed in was the drinks, they were really great but not as great as the ones I had at the Nashville location. Would highly recommend for any special occasion or date night as it has a very romantic upscale atmosphere, and has a moderate noise level to keep it lively but your still able to have intimate conversations without struggling to hear over music or other conversations. Definitely pricey but well worth it.

This is the third time we have been here and probably the least distinctive. Yes, it was Saturday night, but, the food was a bit off.
The ceasar was excellent the caviar on the potato was fabulous, the hot seafood appetizer had crab was an uneven portion and the shrimp were undercooked. The oysters and lobster were very good but as a special item it should have been perfect. The sides mushrooms, spinach, and potatoes were exceptional. The steaks although flavorful did not arrive hot. That is why I could not give a 5 star rating. The banana dessert was fabulous as well as the cookies. For the Four Seasons and it’s reputation it should have been outstanding. The service and som were excellent

This is a lovely spot for a business meeting. It is, however, way overpriced and the food is good - not great. I took a potential client here and she was nervous about ordering once she saw the menu. I had to make it clear that I was paying for lunch. A lunch menu shouldn't be so expensive that it makes the client nervous. By the way, the salad was fine. The chopped salad at the Lafayette at the Hay Adams is much better, cheaper and the service there is amazing. Try to catch up.
Avid restaurant eater
We ordered 2 filet mignon steaks and they both came out cold to our table. We sent them back and when they were brought back to us they were lukewarm at best. The manager did comp our bill for the two steaks but I have never had an experience like that one at a place that was supposed to be so high end. We have eaten at the top steakhouses around the world and this was the first time we had top end quality steak served to us cold. The server for our table was great and the drinks, wedge salad and crab cake appetizer were good but the whole experience was spoiled by the main course
VERY EXPENSIVE! Quality of the steak was good, but not exceptional - especially considering the price. If you are a whiskey or bourbon aficionado - they have an excellent selection. Restaurant is very loud, feels casual because there are no table cloths - in my opinion - lacks ambience and does not feel like a fine dining restaurant. Truffle bread and the French Fry "starter" was very good. Overall, I'd rather go to the Capital Grille - food is just as good and the prices are not inflated.
We were disappointed in our dining event here. We have previously dined here and rated everything at the top rating. The service was slow with the wait staff failing to bring bread until the end of the meal and did not refill water glasses. When we last fined here it was Christmas and the restaurant was very busy with top notch service. This time the restaurant was less busy with slower service We know that Bourbon could do better
