The food was very good as always. The waitstaff was obnoxious I believe because they discovered that we ordered a bottle of wine at the bar while waiting for our reservation and didn't order another at our table. Really? we were purchasing from the same institution. Bad behavior for such an expensive place.

This is not what I expected from blue duck! We had to ask multiple times for the shades to be down since we could not even see each other it was so bright. I’m pretty sure that our waiter did not do anything without us asking. Never asked for drink orders, I told him when we were ready to order, etc.

Waiter delivered bone marrow appetizer and asked if I had ever eaten bone marrow. I responded, yes, but typically receive a bone marrow spoon. He asked what a bone marrow spine was.

I ordered NU strip. Got 4 or 5 semi warm pieces of steak. When complete he said the food runner brought a half portion by accident. Would I like the other half? No. I will credit you for half the steak. OK.

Bill comes and he forgets to credit me.

Waiter clearly had somewhere else he wanted to be.

I eat here 2 years ago. Did they lose the chef? I know why the lost their one star.

For an established restaurant with "Duck" in the name, they did a very poor job. My husband ordered the duck breast and confited duck leg, which, we were told, was their signature dish. It's been on the menu for 15 years. The breast was way overcooked. We were shocked it even left the kitchen. They replaced it with a properly cooked breast. However, the confited leg was dry. How can a duck leg slow cooked in it's own fat be dry? Probably bc it was from yesterday. I had buckwheat cavatelli. It was very tasty but also very salty. Salt should enhance flavors. It should not be THE flavor.
Our server was polite but not helpful at all. He never made wine recommendations and didnt apologize for the overcooked duck. We won't return and we definitely will not recommend the restaurant. We were very disappointed.

Went for my partner’s birthday with my nephew and his wife. We had bone marrow and oysters on hay for appetizers. Both very unique and tasty. For main course, we had sturgeon, duck, and short ribs. All prepared wonderfully. Their wine list was well rounded but extremely expensive. Our waiter was attentive and handled us well even after we got a bit rowdy. We had a very nice time, but it did hit the bank account pretty hard!

Overall VERY mediocre food. It’s not cheap. But not astronomical. You’d think the duck would be the standout dish but it was categorically terrible. Would not return and recommend a complete redo except for the ambience. Very cute restaurant.

The food was amazing. There were so many layered flavors in every dish. we had the duck one night and the vegetable pot pie another night. Also, we had the marrow, the trout crudo, the hay-smoked oysters, the beet salad, and the chocolate pot de creme. The tequila drink with blood orange was stunning and strong. We tried so many dishes and everything more than met our expectations. Plus, the service was top-of-the line. We had David (Iwei) as our server. He was so motivated to make our dining experience sublime. I forgot, we also had the sorbet and after dinner tea. It was not just an amazing meal. It was an amazing experience.

Food was good. Our server was very difficult to hear / understand, and didn't offer up much context on the menu until we prodded him repeatedly. When he did, it was helpful, but i could only catch 2/3 of what he was saying.
We also had a table that was on the edges, so we missed out on the central part looking into the open kitchen, which seemed to have a better ambiance. We had our reservation for our anniversary for a month plus, so I thought we may get some sort of preference for seating, but unfortunately not.

While the service was very good, the food was really unexceptional I hate to say. I had the potato and leek soup, which was very good, but my steak, while cooked to the proper temperature (medium rare), was no better than I've had at much less expensive places. The fries were excellent, but dessert, ice cream, was unexceptional.

Also was disappointed with the lack of ambiance--the space seemed quite spare--and the noise level was quite high. It was hard to have of conversation without repeating myself.

Blue Duck never disappoints. For a rich and savory treat, get the bone marrow. We were there for brunch and the pecan roll was amazing. Also enjoyed the refreshing cafe park.

We went for Valentines Day dinner. While the meal was nice with a diverse selection of meals it definitely was not the full menu experience The Blue Duck usually has to offer. I know from past experience that the regular menu has a lot more to offer. The crab cakes were probably some off the best I have had since moving here. The crab was fresh and the crab to stuffing ratio was mainly crab. The cavatelli was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delightful. The scallops again were fresh and melted in your mouth like butter. The wagyu steak in the marrow sauce with the spinach reduction left a bit to be desired but was still delectable. This is a great space to impress foodies, loved ones and business associates.

While we knew valentines day dinner was prix fixe and we were prepared to spend some money, I wasn't aware it would be one of the most expensive meals I ever paid for. Saying that, the food and staff were terrific and made for a great evening. Just be prepared to spend a lot.

The food was fantastic. They had a set Valentine’s Day menu that was great. This was the second time I’ve been here and the food was even better. Also, the service was excellent, much improved from the first time I went here. Overall great Valentine’s Day experience and excited to go back again!!

I have been twice before at this restaurant and unfortunately this time it did not meet my expectations. The wagyu beef served was at best average and the duck overcooked. The rest was just ok. Service and ambiance remain very good.
