Well-marbled, making this cut tender, juicy and extremely flavorful
20 minutes to be acknowledged at table. Salads arrived after dinner.
Ordered a filet. Received a thin slice of an odd shaped beef. Questioned the waiter, he said yeah that’s a not a filet. Manager comes out and insist it was the way they cut their meat. H asked if I would like another. 25 minutes later, an obvious filet.
No refills, no salt or pepper. Just total disaster. Received 25% off but I will not get that planned delightful and rare occasion out back.
Was really disappointed on your two lobster tails for $34.00. They were only a few bites of lobster on each. Suggestion is to state the ounces on the menu so the customer knows ahead of ordering what to expect

So nice to have Black Angus open again. It was a little less crowded than before the virus was loosened on the world - and I think that gave the kitchen more time to prepare excellent and tasty steaks.
Eat beef. This is what they know. We ate filet and prime rib. They got it right. All the sides were perfect.

This is our second time going to a BlackAngus since they reopened and the food was as good as we remembered. This is one of our favorite places to eat with our friends on a Friday or Saturday evening.
Had a reservation at 6:45 and didn’t get seated until 7:20, there was hardly any occupied tables in the restaurant. I counted 7 parties total including mine. We had our order ready as soon as the waitress came to introduce herself since we had been waiting so long. Our appetizer came out pretty quickly but then we waited another half an hour (with not a single person checking in to see if we needed anything) expecting to get our salads but they never arrived. Our entrees came out via food runner and we mentioned that we never got our salads, she apologized and brought them. Still hadn’t seen our waitress since our initial order. After eating our salads obviously our entrees were cold since they were just sitting on our table. Waitress finally comes to check on us but at this point we just wanted to leave. Very slow and poor service. I understand that there is a lack of wait staff right now but how about you don’t continue to take reservations if you know that you only have 2 waiters working that night. Was very disappointed in our experience and not sure if we will return anytime soon.
Shrimp was terrible, and service was nice & friendly but super slow!!
The Camp fire deal is very hard to beat. The “old fashion” cocktail is really good. The staff were particularly attentive, we weren’t in a hurry so we had to slow down the efficiency which was respected and was a nice evening.
Post-pandemic dining at Black Angus Escondido is back, and I'm so happy. Service is always stellar and portions are generous, with perfectly prepared steaks.
We love Black Angus for special occasions or just a family dinner. In this case we enjoyed using a money saving coupon for the Grill & Chill summer dinner special including a steak with two of the following 3 additional entrees: BBQ ribs, chicken breast or grilled shrimp, along with two delicious side dishes and a slice of watermelon. Great food at a great price! Our server was great as well - appropriately attentive without being intrusive. The high-back booths provide a nice sense of privacy and allow conversations without feeling like you're sharing with adjacent tables. We'll be back soon!
We bought the Campfire Feast for 2 and selected the fried zucchini appetizer, full rack of ribs, and half rack of ribs with the BBQ chicken, side salads and broccoli for the sides, and the mud pie dessert. The courses were served in a timely manner, all at perfect temperatures and tasted wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyable meal with enough leftovers for a second meal, well worth the full price let alone the Prime club discount we received. I highly recommend signing up for the Prime emails as we saved $16 on the meal.
Enjoyed the meal, staff forgot to bring bread to table and forgot my wife's salad. The food was good.
Had wonderful 6 oz. filet mignon. Wife had the shrimp. We agreed that Black Angus was the best Seated quickly, and bread brought immediately. Thanks for great food and service.
As usual we ordered the Campfire Feast and this time we were highly disappointed. With the feast we ordered the Sampler Platter like we always do. First, the platter had been replaced with a metal tray that looked very unprofessional. The shrimp were dried out and almost hard. We had 4 in our group so we had ordered 2 feasts. With that, 2 ordered prime rib and it was very good and a nice portion. The other 2 ordered the New York Strip. Both were white and had absolutely no flavor. It seemed that they had not been seasoned at all. We brought those home so we could attempt to save them with our own seasonings. This is our second visit since the reopening. We were hoping that the steaks would have been better this time but they weren't. I'm afraid to order them again. Our bill totaled $141.00 and I felt that we had been robbed.
The booth we sat in was tight and the benches were too low as per the table height. The food was good, but was way too costly for what it was. Our server was excellent and very attentive. The ambiance felt more like Denny's than Black Angus. You could hear a lot of noise. It just isn't the way Black Angus used to be........
We went to Black Angus in Escondido to celebrate our anniversary. Service was incredible. The food was well seasoned and well prepared. We had never eaten in the dining room, just the bar. We were pleasantly surprised !
Steak was way undercooked; baked potato was cold, and the bread was hard. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant at 6pm on July 4th, so no excuse for the food not to have been cooked right and served hot. '
Service was terrible. The last couple times we've gone services is bad. This time took 15 mins to get someone to take our drink order. At the end she takes my drink before I was even done. Didn't listen to what we were ordering. Terrible service and nobody was there.

The food was OK. We order the sampler appetizer and we noticed the items were much less than before the pandemic. At Black Angus, I have always eaten my steak with worcesteshiere sauce, yesterday was the first time ever that Black Angus didn't have it. Plus the waitress mentioned that they are NOT going to carry it anymore which is rare for steak restaurant not to have it.
Food was delicious and served hot. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. One of the best waitress we have had in slog time.

I always order the Filet Mignon and its thick and no fat. The steak I received was thin and fatty. I wasn't that hungry otherwise I would have said something to them.
Service improved since our last visit on June 17th. Our server was friendly, kept us informed and noticed what was needed. Only problem was entree arrived before we had a chance to finish salads, salads a little slow getting out of kitchen. Good good as always.
The food was very good and prepared correctly. The service was good and Jose was attentive.
