Consistently good food. We like sitting in the bar area for happy hour.
We got there when they opened, so no crowd. But it took them 20 minutes or so before they began taking orders, etc.
The service was excellent and the food was really good. My steak was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor.
It’s more expensive now than before the pandemic, but for a special occasion, or just to treat yourself, it’s worth it.
Easy to schedule a reservation online and check in. Food good as usual.

Love this place. I always have a great time. My server Kassidy was on it. The best I’ve ever had. My only bad complaint is I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came medium. I little tough. Please bring back the honey mustard salad dressing.
I think the covi 19 issues affected the restaurant. I used to go to the one in Mission Gorge and look forward to the warm honey bread, but is now close. This time the bread i got a cold and hard bread. Eventually we got our dinner and the waiter did the best he could. No celebration on the birthday ocasión and before they always made that day special Under the circumstances I will go again but is not the same as before.
For a private-type of dining experience, Black Angus Steakhouse fits the bill. They offer separated dining "pods" so that you don't feel like you're in a big dining room, even though you are. The food is good, but not the best, when it comes to steak. For example, my spouse's filet minon was not what you would typically expect from a steak place. It was long and flat instead of the traditional small and tall cut you get at premium restaurants. My ribeye was good, but full of fat strings, not just a little, but almost a bread plate full. Lastly, our dinner was rushed. Our waiter brought our appetizer followed almost immediately by our dinners so we had no real time to partake of our appetizers while they were hot. My biggest pet peeve of any restaurant is the feeling of being rushed.

Top sirloin steak tasted freezer burned and had an odd odor. Otherwise, everything else was good.
We got there at 645 my time was at 7 so I checked in the girl at the front with purple red hair checked me in said she will seat me in 10 mins so time came and passed 5 other couples came in after us they got seat way before us so st 710 I went up to make sure we didn’t get forgotten she was rude! Not professional at all, I wanted to report her to the manager because she needed to be more professional than what she was then another person came in and they got seated before us so it started making me upset we didn’t get it until 715 which puzzles me because one time we came in five minutes late from our appointed time and we got pushed back by almost 30 minutes so when I checked in at 6:45 and didn’t get to sit in till 715 all those people that came in before us had been either 645 or seven got to seated it before us and I think that’s messed up.someone needs more training if it happens again you lose a customer
Trendy and juicy steak. Mondavi Bourbon Barreled Aged red wine is superb! Julia was a fabulous and attentive server.
Service was excellent....but food was warm, not hot. You can save a lot of money by going to Applebees where food is comparable.
About 4.5 stars. We waited for about 25 minutes for a table to be cleared. Short staffed? The music was too loud for conversation, but they turned it down to a suitable level at our request. Yay! The prime rib was excellent. All the food was great. Service, once seated, was excellent. Waiter was helpful.
Food was great. Our server paid more attention to my husband then me. Food took almost an hour to get to our table.
Our server, Katie G was great, attentive, polite, and quickly responsive to our requests.
The chicken breasts teriyaki was delicious and very moist. It was quiet and peaceful.

Table for 3. Ordered filet mignon and two ribeye steaks. All were cooked properly per our requests. Although the meal and side dishes were above average, the best part of the meal was our server. Shame on me for not remembering her name, but I do remember how friendly and efficient she was. The restaurant was full on a Thursday night, and I was glad I had made a reservation.
Great food and service in this time of restaurants not having many helpers because of people not working.
The coupon we used was not working but our waitress and the manager helped and fixed.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary . THe first thing we were told was that they were out of Prime Rib which is why we came there. They were not willing to even offer some compensation ,like free drinks( we dont drink alchohol so we are talking Pepsi,, lemonade) They would not lower the price of Filet Mingnoin for me ( I have missing back teeth on the bottom and its hard for me to chew; I rarely eat meat, THe steak we ordered was tough and too hard to chew; the chicken was dry,,, the asparagus was tough and not worth the extra price. We should have just got up and left and gone to Denny's. The mud pie was good,, the potatoe soup good and the mac and cheese good, too. But we came for the Prime Rib. Outback has prime rib, much better shrimp and the carrot cake is much better than yours.. so next time Its Outback for us.
Cooking the steaks to our specifications was not met. Requested medium and received medium rare. Guest requested medium rare and received medium. Sent back to kitchen and 2nd time received still medium rare, guest steak was still medium. 3rd attempt now steak was well done. Was tough and dried out. For service the restaurant was basically empty but could not get waitperson to serve us. Restaurant overall appeal is old and outdated. Will not be returning to sample menu again.

we had a reservation we waited about 20 minutes when we got there, that wasnt the bad part. Once we got our table we waited one hour for out food! we had a drink and appetizer and some bread, by the time the food came we were full! it was a long wait they said the kitchen was backed up. With people paying these kind of prices it’s unacceptable. i ordered a steak house cobb salad and my husband had a chicken sandwich and fries. We will never go back! He didnt even eat his dinner

We've given this restaurant several chances and we're finally through. Although the server was excellent, my steak is consistently overcooked. I ordered the teriyaki top sirloin cooked medium. As usual, it was presented to me well-done...not a bit of pink in the meat. I don't know why it is so hard for the kitchen at this restaurant to cook a steak medium. This is the fourth time I've had this issue, and have only returned because of family member's requests. I usually send the steak back, but this time I was too hungry and just informed the server that it was overcooked but I didn't have time to wait for another one. I will not spend any more money at this restaurant as they are unable to determine how to properly cook a steak. Pretty sad for a steakhouse.

Not sure if they changed the recipe for the cheesy garlic bread, or if it was just overcooked, but it was extremely disappointing compared to past experiences. My steak was a bit undercooked as well. Service was fair. Currently they're only seating in the bar area, and it was noisy and distracting enough that I did not have the relaxing experience I was hoping for. I will probably return and give it another try but not soon.
