I would have liked some kind of protective barrier, as I was seating at the end of tent and possibly a car would have turned to our area.

It felt so good to be AT a restaurant to eat. The meal was superb and the wait staff on spot. Even though the price went up considerably, I was pleased. A $4 increase in the same thing before Covid-19.

Great Overall Experience! They are doing well to accommodate customers with the health issues still going on. Exterior dining was well done and staff tried hard to hold up to the standards of the traditional dining experience.
A bit disappointing that a special event request (Birthday) was placed via OpenTable and acknowledged by the check-in person, but no staff offered a Birthday greeting or seemed to have any knowledge there was a Celebration that evening. That aside, food was excellent, ambience better than expected with the outdoor tent-style dining and a very good overall experience.

I'm so happy we were able to dine outdoors since the indoor seating wasn't available. It was easy to reserve the table and we were seated right next to a heat lamp.

The service was good and I was glad to see a more extensive menu than when we had previously dined.

Black Angus is our go-to place for celebrations and we're looking forward to when the seating will be available indoors again!

The only reason for the 3 stars was the result of COVID forcing the seating to be outside in the parking lot. It was a bit cold. The food (prime rib) and service was outstanding!,,,

Loved my 1st experience

The music was on then cut off completely. Mentioned to waitress and she informed manager to turn back on. Had the valentines day meal, however i had to ask for the bacon on my potato skins from the sampler platter and again for the loaded baked potatoes me and my date had. The waitress said they were backed up on the bacon.. not sure why the plates were given to us if it was not complete

Great food at great price. Service was great and they cleared our tables s we finished our courses.

It was not a busy night but our server pretty much ignored us the whole time we were seated. He only came over to check on us once. I saw the adjoining table’s waiter constantly checking on his table. Disappointing experience.

Ribeye steak and filet mignon were delicious. They have the best shrimp and shrimp cocktail sauce. You can’t beat the Campfire Feast with the $49 coupon.

Amazing expirience

It's only average because we had to sit in a white tent outside with ugly tables and chairs. Granted, it's not their fault that Covid requires outside dining, but other restaurants have provided nicer tables, more comfortable chairs and better placement of the heaters in their outdoor accommodations. Even Dennys had a nicer set up. But the waitresses were lovely and sweet. The food was good.

Everything was perfect. The food came out quick and was good as usual. Everything was cooked to order.

WE are rarely, if ever, disappointed at Black Angus in Chula Vista. These are difficult times for all of us. Our server was most accommodating sue to the late arrival of our guest, but all was well! It was good to be outside and the food was great as usual! Thanks! BA!

It was a fantastic dinner with my special friend. Everyone is so lovely, and the food was so good. Manager Zack was excellent to services gave us. We had a wonderful time and pre Thanksgiving ourselves. We want to go back again. Please ask the manager, and he is going to give you excellent service.

Outdoor dining was great they had lights and heaters nice music! Delicious food and Great service !

Very bad service, we were waiting for the waitress about 10 min and nobody attend us, we were at 3 pm in the high sun and the restaurant doesn’t have roof or something to hide us from the sun outside that why we left the restaurant.

We've been going to Black Angus for many years and it's one of our favorite restaurants. Its great food and cozy booths and terrific waiters and waitresses have never disappointed. Keep it up!

The service was outstanding, our server Alejandro was great and the food was delicious.I do have to mention that the women's restroom was in need of attention. It did need some serious cleaning.

Wednesday night Prime rib and mud pie are always great! Rib tender & flavorful (especially an end cut) & the pie too good not to eat all of it!

I have been a regular customer here for at least 10 years. Before the pandemic, I dined at the Chula Vista Black Angus every Friday. Chef Pablo prepares excellent food. Josh and Mark provide great service. I was pleased to dine inside once again and look forward to dining inside when the pandemic is over.

The issue I had concerned the prime rib I ordered. It was prepared as I requested but arrived cold to my table. Very frustrating.

Went with my two kids and husband. The quality of service and food is so much better than other similar restaurants. We loved the intimate ambiance. My kids prefer this restaurant over BJs, Outback and Cheesecake Factory!

We have visited this restaurant many times of the past several years but since covid became a concern for all of us. I observed the wait staff taking every precaution they could in wiping things down and spreading the patrons out. We used a coupon we found on the internet for the Campfire Feast, which is a quite a bargain! My filet was tough but my wife's steak was fine; luck of the draw I guess.

The Martinis were well prepared and chilled with generous portions of the spirits. The final desert of the evening the mud pie was as always super.

With so many superlatives above you say why did you give it such a low overall rating. The reason is that the restaurant looks tired and run down. If you forgot what the 80's looked like visit this restaurant! They haven't done a renovation in twenty years that I know of, and it shows. I would go again but would't want to entertain out town guests here; we have better in San Diego.

All considering (COVID Restrictions), it was a great time.
