My wife and I have been going to Baci for the last 20 years. This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in San Diego. Tony and his staff are always top notch. We are looking forward to our next night out there.

Beautiful place, comfortable for intimate conversations, welcoming and professional staff and the food is fresh and delicious. It is our go to place. Such a neighborhood gem!

We had to leave so got the rest of our food to go. How do you box guests food to go food but leave what they left on the plate out the box!? Ordered the veal bone marrow special and they didn’t even include the bone marrow that I hardly touched. Then my lady ordered chicken with asparagus with potato so they only included the left over chicken in the box. Not the uneaten potato and the rest of asparagus. Baffled.

Experience was great, attentive service, great food. Found Baci in AAA book before Yelp existed when my husband and I were dating. Now married, we still enjoy it. Wish we could come more often, we drive from Chino Hills for this treat, and we don’t always stay the night in San Diego- it’s worth the drive.

We flew in from Texas to visit my brother for New Years and drove 2 hours round trip to dine at Baci for the special occasion. The food and server were excellent but our evening was soured at the end. The restrooms are located at the front of the restaurant. There is only one restroom for women. My husband and brother held the women’s coats and items while the women went to the restroom. The owner Tony came over to us to ask if we were done dining and we said yes. I thought he was going to thank us and wish us a Happy New Year. Instead, he rudely asked us to leave the restaurant. It was very cold outside and we had to wait for the rest of the party outside. I was appalled at the treatment as we had just spent almost $400 on our dining experience and drove all of that way. My brother tipped our waiter more than 30% because he was so pleased with his dining experience and afterwards we regretted it. This is not how you treat patrons. He should have politely invited us into the bar area to enjoy a drink while we waited for our party. It really ruined our evening. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant. Tony really needs a refresher on etiquette and should be more polite to his guests. There were many other ways for him to have addressed us, it was not warm, welcoming or polite. Especially when we arrived, there were other parties like us waiting for their table and restrooms in the front area.
We drove a long way to support a family owned business and appalled at how we were treated. Despite the food and great service, we’ll never return. I am very upset as this was a very special trip with my brother that I had planned as I knew he would enjoy it and I was truly sick to my stomach at how my brother and our family were treated. It was sad that our night and our visit ended on this note.

Such a great dining experience as always. Great food, flawless service and Phillip came over to say hi and I got a chance to apologize for not being able to find him outdoor heaters. Sorry Phillip. I’ll keep trying. Great food though, as always.

Best Restaurant in San Diego!

Very authentic Italian staff with amazing energy! Feels like you are in an old Italian mob movie with an amazing ambiance! Waiter recommendations were on point and it feels like a family ran business!
