Always great food and service! So happy they have reopened once again! Neighborhood gem!
I love this place! The food is great and the mimosa price is a good deal. Service is always wonderful too!
Restaurant shows open on Open Table for patio dining but is closed
Please support this place. It is a favorite for my wife and I. So pleasant, great food, and so French. We were there last Saturday (12/5) for brunch. The omelet with lobster and hollandaise was superb as was the steak/frites. Beer was great, Sancerre was chosen well. Just a pleasant brunch which may not happen again for a spell. Order carry out. You do not want this place to die.
The food was top shelf and very reasonably priced. The service was very good considering there was just one server, he was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor when I teased him about his headwear.
I intend to visit more if at all possible and will recommend it to others 👍👍
We had an excellent lunch last Sunday before Thanksgiving. My husband and I shared a big portion of mussels, then I had the Californian crepe filled with scrambled eggs and sliced avocado. As for a drink, I was given a whole Californian champagne for the bottomless mimosa, a real good deal! We were sitting outside as the only option nowadays, in the parking lot with umbrellas, close to the busy street intersection. Service was attentive and fast. We’ll go back for sure.
Very nice restaurant, a gem in the neighborhood. Hard to give high marks for ambience when they have to serve food in the parking lot, because of the Coronavirus. We were visiting San Diego and found it on 'nearby restaurants' and are sorry it is not in our neighborhood.
Great food and service
very nice unassuming place in a small strip mall. Food was very well executed and service. was excellent. intro style frank and some more "Mediterranean" dished as well, very nice wine list as reasonable prices.
Nice French restaurant. Only one server yet he was efficient moving from table to table. Dishes were traditional.
This is our favorite small, neighborhood gem located in Hillcrest. The food and the service have been consistently excellent.
Their mussels and their rainbow trout, along with their shoestring lavender fries and French opinion soup are the items we order the most. Wine selection has had a revamp and the selections are significantly better.
We did not give it a 5 for ambiance only because of our new Covid world. Nothing they can change. Feel most comfortable sitting outside, but looking at parking lot or parking meters on the street and the lunch time traffic make it just a little more noisy and less intimate than the days of sitting inside their small, charming space. Please don’t let that stop you from continuing to support and enjoy a wonderful restaurant with top quality wine, food and service. Bon appetit!
I had the escargot and the duck confit. Both were amazing!
Took my fiancé here for our 3 year anniversary. It’s not as romantic as I thought it would be , but definitely a good dinner spot! The food was amazing and the service was great. Small place, low noise and easy to find. Will be back!
The food is incredible!! The scallops appetizer and the sauce is mouth watering. The mussels with blue cheese broth is scrumptious!
Delicious French cuisine. The streak frites was prepared perfectly. Varied menu selection.
Menu is limited, but has good variety. Service was intermittent, and seemed a bit rushed, despite only two other tables of customers. Food was tasty, and they have several wines-by-the-glass. We had the Camembert cheese appetizer, which could easily serve four. It comes with just a few toast point, so ask for extra. I had the ravioli, which was delicious, as was the sauce. The sea bass was just a bit overcooked, but really tasty. We also tried the lavender fries, and they have a light subtle lavender flavor. We would have ordered desert, but the waiter didn’t offer and seemed rushed to get us our check. I even inquired about the hours of a dessert spot around the corner, and we were not offered coffee or dessert post meal. The food was rich, and plentiful, the prices were reasonable. Overall it was a good date night dinner.
Was very disappointed overall
COVID-19 guidelines are not followed.
Mediocre food quality considered the price.
The food here is the reason to come. The risotto that is served with the bass dish is outstanding. We just wish they would replace the menus. To be handed an old stained menu- particularly at this time is questionable. Also, some of the seating was not spread out far enough.
Great French onion soup, delicious asparagus risotto. Boeuf bourginon good but overcooked.
They were closed & no one called to tell us they would not be open.
The restaurant was closed. Maybe a last minute thing because Of COVID but Open Table took the reservation. Went to Et Voila instead. They set up a charming, well spaced back patio and the food was excellent.
The reservations were confirmed but the restaurant was closed.
The onion soup and calamari were exactly as expected. Nothing too special. They were out of the rainbow trout I wanted to order, so they offered the sea bass instead. Perfect since that's my favorite fish. The sauce it came with was impeccable. Would love to order that one again.
Sergio is so gracious and accommodating. The food as always is fabulous as is the wine. The desserts are yummy! Enjoying the outdoor seating these days. My compliments to Chef Dede. 😍
Awesome!
Great service! Amazing food!
Service was excellent his timing was just perfect for all our needs and he left us alone to visit. My food was excellent there was a tiny bit of fat on the duck I needed to put in my napkin overall the sauce and taste delicious! The French onion soup very good as well.
Always consistently delicious food, friendly and gracious service that is both attentive but not hovering. We love this place.
Always a great place for dinner.
Our evening meal at Au Revoir was outstanding. It was nice to be back!
The food and the service were excellent. We will be back.
Onion soup is very tasty, and the steak with pepper sauce was excellent.
Great service and food
I've been eating at Au Revoir since 2012. Reasonable prices and excellent food over the years have always brought me back. I had a duck breast in cherry sauce and my guest enjoyed his salmon, which I suspect may have been cooked sous vide. The wait staff were particularly helpful, especially when I realized that one of the two women sitting at the next table was not only inebriated but going off about her grown children who had come back to live with her (to whom she obviously did not wish to "au revoir"). but as she got louder and more profane, her favorite adjective being a gerund starting with "f," I got up and explained to our server that I didn't want to be next to this ongoing and deafeningly nasty rant; we were instantly moved and the rest of the meal proceeded well. One of the waiters even appeared pleased with my attempts to communicate in French. This is a very nice, unpretentious bistro which, once experienced, begs to be revisited again and again.
Wonderful!
Very cute restaurant with parking nearby. Loved the food and service. will come back again
Best part of the meals were the fries - crispy and hot.. The calamari appetizer was not hot and did not taste fresh. The mussel main course did not taste fresh. The fish of the day was OK but the accompanying vegetable was barely warm.
My wife and I always enjoy our time here! The food is amazing!!!! It’s our special date night anytime we get away from the kiddo.
We have traveled in France for many years and Au Revoir is truly authentic French cuisine in every sense of the the term. Everything about the meal was excellent and we look forward to coming back for another meal soon.
This a restaurant that we return to whenever we are in town. The food and service are always wonderful. We enjoyed this visit as much as the ones in the past. Thank you for being consistent!
