Buffet was under stocked despite alerting multiple staff members things were out three times. Overall waiters and host were less than welcoming. Don’t plan on going back.
One of my favorites. The food and ambiance is amazing
Outstanding food and service. my favorite Indian food restaurant in the area.
This is our neighborhood Indian restaurant. Consistently good food and service. We must eat at Angeethi every other week and enjoy it every time. Spicy or not spicy- cooked to perfection!
AmIzng drinks, friendly polite staff, amazing presentation and quality food!
All in all, a good experience! The food was plentiful and being addicted to spicy their Chicken Vindaloo was not overwhelming but very good. A very attractive setting with a large bar. I certainly recommend for dinner or a late lunch.
A nice place for quick lunches and relaxed dinners.
Good food in a nice environment. Service was a bit slow but friendly and knowledgeable.
Food is delivered to you cold and placed on top of a burning candle at your table. Portions are extremely small compared to other Indian places. I ordered the spinach and chickpeas, it came out with 90% spinach and 10% chickpeas. Needless to say I will not be back.
Food was great but service was a bit slow but overall I would go back!
The food is perfect for the price. Wonderful options, convenient location, and attentive staff.
Excellent vegetarian appetizer sampler and lamb entrees. The lamb palak is particularly good if you like saag-type dishes. Lamb vindaloo great with a good spicy kick to it. We would certainly return.
My son requested Indian cuisine for his birthday dinner! I asked some people at my work where they would suggest for good food and nice atmosphere! We were not disappointed! It was above our expectations! The food was very good, the service was also excellent! The atmosphere was perfect! We will surely be back to this gem soon!
My hubby and I went here for our Valentine dinner. They had a special Valentine menu of 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and 2 desserts for 55.00, and if you like wine $10 off a bottle to share. The ambiance was nice they had Valentine balloons around the restaurant, and on the table, two red roses in a glass on table, red confetti and red and pink hearts and a red candle in the center, a beautiful ambiance. Our appetizers of vegetable samosa and chicken wings came right away and were yummy. The main course took a while to come, we ordered butter chicken, shrimp curry, and naan. While we waited our waiter refilled my hubby beer.it seemed a long time to get the main course but it was worth it, fresh, cooked just for us and delicious! Dessert came quickly too, gulub jaman and rasamali. I'm indian and even though the food wasn't spicy for my standards, it was good and had a great flavor to it. Highly recommend and we plan to go back to eat here.
My brother's family was in town, and we went to Angeethi for dinner. We all enjoyed dinner, the service, and the ambiance. We will definitely be back soon.
Food is great and everyone is always friendly. Sometimes service is smooth and fast but other times it takes a while for food to come out. Overall, it's a good restaurant with great food.
Buffet is fresh, plentiful, with good quality food. The chai is unsweetened and included with lunch. There is a wide variety of dishes and a "street food" bar. A good value and yummy!!
You can hear your lamb chop tandoori come out of the kitchen, sizzling and steaming. So delicious with the tamarind sauce. Can't recommend this place enough. It's reasonably priced, great food, friendly service.
We have always come to this restaurant for our Indian expericence. However, last Saturday night left a lot to be desired. There was confusion over the wine choices. One of us waited over 15 mins for a beer and had to ask more than once. The food is still very good. But our service last week was not acceptable. We waited and waited for everything, even the check. It didn't seem so busy that he should be overwhelmed and there were servers available so I find it hard to believe that staffing was the problem. I don't know what was going on but it's very unpleasant for some to have their food and others in the party waiting. We will go back, of course, but will not accept this server again.
You come here for the food...everything else is secondary, and rightfully so. This place tends to make the foodie short-list for authentic northern Indian cuisine in the DC Metro Area, and I can see why. The fish and biryanis really shine.
I usually try to stop in when I'm in town. Food is always good. Servers friendly and prompt. Have always enjoyed myself while dining here.
Authentic ambiance, service, presentation, flavor and quality all rolled into one enjoyable dining experience. Angeethi never lets you down. Love the way entrees are served in decorative heated pots. Makes each dish feel special and makes you feel like a royal. Try their brunch - so many choices and custom made dishes. And if you like it hot and spicy...oh my!
We decided to visit Angeethi after ages to celebrate a milestone b'day... Most restaurants welcome big parties, but Angeethi gave us the run around on getting reservations over the phone. Out of curiosity, I checked OpenTable and even for a party as large as ours, all slots were available all thru' the evening. Ended up booking the slot I wanted over OpenTable, though I had been told it isnt available over the phone :|
We asked if we could get our own cake, and were told, that would be $2 per person... Most restaurants have the courtesy to comp a dessert for the b'day boy, this was another -ve.
The food was meh.. It used to be much better.. Was way too bland, and the server did not ask for our spice level preference... The kebab appetizer platter is tiny.. and was sloshed in some garlic tomato sauce which masked the taste of the individual appetizers. The entrees were nothing to write about... Overall, we weren't very happy with our decision to celebrate with Angeethi and doubt we will be heading over there anytime again.
