Amalfi Ristorante Italiano
We loved everything about the place other than the food. We thought the food was average to good. Loved the environment and wait staff. Very helpful and attentive. $100+ is a fair amount to spend and not to find the food at least good. Not sure we will return.
We have been here a few times with either grandchildren or elderly in laws. A good fit for those types. Wine list is dull. Lacked an alternative salad dressing. Otherwise an adequate meal, not for special ocasions.
Wonderful food, as always. The service is fantastic, and the price is appropriate for the wonderful quality of the food. Go for the meatballs, they're huge!
Food and atmosphere were perfect. The food was quite original for southern Italian food and the service was friendly and appropriate.
Always enjoy my meal there. Sorry to hear about the discontinuing of lasagna . Hope the chef will reconsider and bring it back , it was always delicious and my favorite. Also I’d like to say how courteous and professional Angelo is we really enjoyed him being our waiter. Keep up the good work thank you
Great atmosphere, great food selection (appetizers, entrees and desserts). Family run since the 1970s. Service is exceptional.
The food was very fresh & delicious. It was an excellent dining experience.
Excellent food and we appreciate Amalfis acknowledging our friend's birthday.
New and improved! Very impressed. I have been eating here off and on since they opened in the late ‘70’s. This is the best they have ever been!! Kudos to an amazing family!
Authentic Italian food.
The chef seems to be unable to cook the broccoli enough to be edible. Okay, I guess if you enjoy warm raw broccoli. I have asked for well-cooked broccoli on every visit, but it is never edible. Eggplant parmesan is the best on the planet.
Reasonable everyday Italian food. Calamari was overdone. Good for the young grandkids.
Great food. Great place. Our favorite Italian restaurant.
There are reasons why five generations of our family have gone to Amalfi Ristorante! The quality and preparation of the food is always excellent. The eggplant parmesan is the best there is anywhere and the white pizza is still a sensational signature item! The friendliness of the owners and staff is exemplary and we are always treated as extended family. Every person we have ever brought to Amalfi’s for their first time experience has become a loyal, repeat customer. Sue and Larry Jeweler
The food from onion focaccia to lemon mascarpone cake and everything in between is so delicious. Amalfi’s never disappoints. This is the best family-owned Italian restaurant in Montgomery County.
Excellent service with most delicious Italian cuisine. A neighborhood gem
Dinner was delicious and the service was superb. We always enjoy our dining experience there prior to an evening at the symphony at the Music Center at the Strathmore.
Great family restaurant! We always feel welcome and very much enjoy our meals there.
Server was very good and food was excellent.
Celebrating our daughter’s birthday! We love this little gem of a restaurant that has a great house salad & wonderful Eggplant Parm in town!
Best Italian authentic food in Rockville. Great family owned restaurant.
Amalfi is one of my very favorite restaurants, and easily one of the best Italian places in the DC area. There is no way anyone could be disappointed with food of this quality. Family owned, extremely friendly and helpful staff.
We celebrated Mother's Day here and everyone raved about the cuisine. From the warm welcome to the warm farewell, this family owned restaurant lived up to its reputation. Some hint of Italian music would have been nice, but not essential. We recommend trying as many different menu items as possible and saving room for dessert.
Great food and service...been a customer for years!
This is definitely a neighborhood gem. Tablecloths and Silverware but you can be comfortable dressed up or casual. Great food, service and overall experience. It is an older location a little out of the way but don't let that stop you unless you are more into image than substance. We had a very nice dinner as usual!
Food is fresh, wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend their Italian specialty foods. Good service, great for family dining.
Great food and service. Prices are reasonable. A hidden gem.
The food is always very good and the people are always hospitable.
Fantastic food and service for a reasonable price. I love this place and always leave very happy!
We went to Amalfi's for many years, then did not go for many more. What a mistake!! Everything about the experience was fabulous. We have taken friends there several times since we rediscovered Amalfi.
The food and service were excellent. Had a wonderful dining experience!
The sauces are excellent, Shrimp Fra Diavlo is not too spicy but gets your attention with jumbo size shrimp. Home made pasta is worth the extra uncharge.
Really good. It’s an old gem that’s been there forever. Great homemade pasta!
Fabulous good and service! We especially loved the duck carbonara and chicken alfredo!
All 4 of us loved our food. I asked for a quiet area and we were seated in a corner of a smaller room which was very quiet. Our wait person, a young lady, was extremely helpful and efficient as well as personable. We will be returning to Amalfi's soon.
Always something new and delicious on the menu. The pastas are especially good.
Worst lasagne ever!
Love this restaurant. Food is fantastic!!
Absolutely hands down the best chicken dishes in Rockville. Amalfi’s has something for everyone to enjoy. The clams over linguine with garlic was delicious. Oh and the bread - amazing! We’ll be back soon!
The chicken piccata came with a leg bone on pasta . The chicken was very good but unappetizing with the leg bone. The pasta was ok. Not the best. The bread was great but the meal itself unsatisfying. My companion ordered shrimp fettuccini alfredo. It came with 3 jumbo shrimp that were chewy . They destroyed her dining experience. Neither one of us wished to return.
