We made a reservation through Open Table without noting that the reservation provided 50% off if certain items were ordered. Our server was insistent that the reservation we had made required us to order four appetizers and four main courses because the restaurant would be charged for it by Open Table. If this is accurate then Open Table should do a better job of explaining the conditions of a reservation at this restaurant. The food was good when it arrived, and true to the "heat" ratings provided.
Go back year after year been going for the last 3 years as we go to Lords for the cricket and it is very convenient to our hotel at Kings cross never had a bad curry yet. The food is good not much atmosphere as its always quite . Definatley recommend it.
Thanks Taste of India
Bangladesh-style cooking, staff friendly, homely atmosphere; food was not outstanding. The portions are VERY SMALL so we ordered extra. We went on a Friday evening and were the only guests, although noticed quite a lot of take-away orders
I couldn't have read the terms properly before going there, as they advised that in order to use the option we had to have a starter & a main each. Then it was extra for any prawn dishes. Thankfully it still was reasonable even after that.
The food was mediocre, well cooked but messy. But the service was good.
We were sat right next to the serving hatch (despite it not being busy at all). The view of the washing up waiting to be done, was not good.
We took our own booze, which was kindly opened by the waiter, glasses provided etc. BYOB is really is great if you are on a budget.
For 2 it cost us £27.00 in total, including SC. I was happy to pay that.
But if it had been the full price of £54.00? No, that would be totally unjustified. That amount would usually be including mains, drinks & a couple of side dishes.
I wouldn't go back for all the above reasons.
This is really a struggling takeaway with a few tables, badly needs renovation. Starters were badly made or frozen samosas. There were only 4 other customers in on a Saturday night and it was so slow that in the end they asked us to leave. It's cheap, but only because of the half price offer. Staff seemed bored and fed up, not surprisingly. Go to Drummond Street in Euston.
Visited New Years Eve - very quiet but a nice atmosphere made very welcome by the people working there. Brought our own drinks and had the offer so the food was extremely good value for a 2 course meal with pickle tray as well. Really nice place, fully recommend.
Service was very attentive (although there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant so may be less attentive when it's busy). Allowed BYO which was very good for keeping the cost of the meal down. We used the opentable special offer which made the meal extremely good value. Food was nice - standard Indian restaurant food really which is all we wanted. We didn't really know what to expect before we went but had a good experience.
Seemingly they operate two menu price lists - one outside to get you in and one inside with prices two quit higher on average. The mixed tandoori platter was served on a cold plate and partially warm. I had better Indian food for a betterprice. If you do not want to play vabanque with your dining out avoid.
Really good value as you bring your own alcohol and food is reasonable too! The food was lovely they don't care on how many bottle you drink and you don't pay anything for your alcohol! I had the garlic and chili chicken and it was really really nice. My friends were also very satisfied with their meals.
Good value for your money, clean place only small the service was very fast as there weren't many people in a one time. Good curry and starters we had a set 5 course for 12.95 which was good value but don't get chapatis as they are 1.95 each which i find rather expensive and you can take your own booze as they don't have a licence for drink
don't judge anything by look ...this restaurant is not that big or not luxurious looks but they got best staff and fabulous food just need to ask them about nice food they gonna give you best one ...i will recommend friend to go this growing up Taste Of Asia
I wasn't happy with much there really in the hole place there is only like 8 tables and there was no one else in the place. The staff were just watching tv and playing and talking on the phones very loud. And the chef did not wash he's hands when he went to the toilet really wasn't happy at all. And the kept on staring at my girlfriend up and down very disgraceful for a restaurant
A small and (seemingly) unassuming BYO Indian restaurant, where the food has delicious flavors and is very well cooked and presented. The decor is pretty (no flock wallpaper) and the service is helpful. Great value. I've paid lots more than this in other places, and eaten less well. Recommended if you are staying in the Kings Cross area.
Four of us went for a yummy value meal near kings cross station and that is exactly what we got. The food was nice and good portions and we did byo so was excellent value.
As it was a friend birthday we asked them to bring out a cake we had brought and they did and didn't rush us to finish or go
We had good amounts of food and all our curry plates were completely finished. All round a lovely evening
