Agua by Larbi Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Awesome meal in a gorgeous setting
My wife and I had a date night after a long day of travel to Cabo. We chose to have dinner at Agua and it met all our expectations. The staff was friendly, the food delicious and you can't beat the ambiance. The Mexican quartet playing music was really good and not too loud, allowing for conversation.
We were SO happy with every aspect of the meal. Service was impeccable, as expected by the Palmilla. The food exceeded expectation. Wine options were great...assuming you like the local wines any way. We happen to love the Mexico wines currently being produced and anyone who isn't willing to try one is really missing out. Here we had a fantastic 2010 Merlot as recommended by the somm. The cost is a little high , but we shared our starter and main and there was plenty for us.

Wonderful food and superb service. The chef even came out to meet us after we sent back our thank you. We always go here when we stay in San Jose. It's lovely
VIP Revisión del Cabo
It doesn’t get much better than sitting beside the ocean, watching the sunset, and being totally indulged by an excellent wait staff. The food is true Mexican and the Sea Bass I had was cooked to perfection. My only disappointment was not in Agua but in One and Only’s overall reduction in the personal touch they were one time noted for. In the past we would be recognized by name from the security gate and throughout the facility. At the end of the evening ladies would be given a burlap gift bag with chocolates, soaps, candles, etc., nothing fancy but a total win. These personal touches obviously cost $$$ have gone by the wayside but from the number of people we have shared this with in the past years that have resulted in people visiting the facility it would seem a priceless effort. Regardless it is still the best stay and dinner in Cabo.
Fantastic locale, great décor, excellent staff wonderful food …. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a distinctively special occasion!
Stunning & Delicious
Every time we visit Cabo; Agua is a must for dinner. One & Only is stunningly beautiful and Agua is a wonderful place to enjoy the view and delicious food. Service is top notch and a true dining experience . Bravo Agua!
We had dinner at Aqua on Valentine's Day this year--we live in Cabo and had not been to the restaurant for dinner yet this season. Of course Palmilla is gorgeous and they have done a great job of repairing the damage from Odile. It's hands down the best site in Cabo, so the view, the gardens, the lighting are all fantastic as is the welcome from the staff. The food on the other hand was sort of bland. The menu was uninspiring--another Caesar Salad? Another Caprese Salad? There were a couple of North African dishes--one, a sea bass was quite good, but the portion was minuscule. I started with a Shrimp Salad and the shrimp were cooked perfectly but the dressing was beyond subtle. My husband had Tortilla Soup for a starter and it was fine, but didn't knock your socks off. His entree was a Roasted Chicken Breast and it was tasty, but a little overcooked/tough. We shared a desert and it tasted like a typical hotel desert--not what you would expect from Palmilla. Our server was excellent--just the right amount of attention. For 2 lemonades, 2 starters, 2 entrees and 1 desert we spent $5,500 MX, which at the current exchange rate is about $315 U.S. For that kind of money, I would like to leave the restaurant feeling a little bit more than simply fed. The only negative as to the ambience was that the expediter in the kitchen was yelling out the orders so loudly you could hear him all over the dining room--he needs to tone it down a bit. We'll go back to Palmilla, but maybe just for lunch--there are other options for dinner that have better food.
First off, understand it's expensive. Most I have ever spent for meal, and a bottle of wine. However, it was the most amazing romantic dinner my wife of 47 years and I have shared. The wait staff was over the top. Our "primary" waiter Solomon was one of the best we have ever had the pleasure to experience. He made our evening what it was, in addition to the unique setting of the setting. Would we do it again? Absolutely.
Enchanted in Cabo
From the picturesque drive through the property to the exquisite dining room and patio, every detail helped create an enchanted experience. The service and food were superb, including the delivery and table settings. The menu is quite pricey, but for a special occasion it's well worth it.

Upscale facilitie, very nice ambience, service and food portions and quality must be better according to dishes prices, not fair balance between price VS value.
Wow! This was a wonderful experience! We were celebrating my partner's birthday. Picture sitting on the patio looking out to San Jose across the Sea of Cortez, enjoying a quality martini. Then ordering an amazing meal and receiving absolute top notch service. The staff accommodated our dietary allergies with no fuss. Chef Darouch stopped by several times and provided a great wine pairing suggestion. Every part of the meal, from the salad to the main course to the wine and desserts were fantastic.
will not return back:-(
The cost for the meals was high and we were expecting the food to the BEST!!! Will not return back for sure.
Palmilla = CLASS
Elegant with impeccable service. Ambience is amazing! Food is perfect in every regard... THEY DO EVERYTHING PERFECTLY!!! You'll feel you are in a dream...
There are a handful of restaurants
There are a handful of restaurants in Cabo we commit to visiting everytime we vacation there. This is one. Love it. Food, service and the view are incredible.
Amazing place,first class
Amazing place, first class all the way. The food was excellent as well as the service. We sat outside right on the ocean, what a spectacular view. I highly recommend Aqua!
Not as good the second time around
Went to Agua for lunch for the second time in 9 days based on an excellent experience the first time. Food was still superb and view still magnificent, however the impeccable service we had on our first visit significantly deteriorated this time. Service was slow and less than attentive. Staff seemed more interested in servicing regulars and residents than us. We expect consistency from an establishment of this level
Worth every penny
Agua is part of Pamilla Resort which is a member of the ultra luxurious One and Only Resort Group. Food and service at the restaurant follow the same high standards. Prices are also of the same high stand but quality of food, service and ambiance justify it Your visit starts with a 30 second golf cart ride down an treelined path from valet parking to the restaurant overlooking the Pacific. Both inside and outside dining are available but the ambience and view outside are far superior if weather is good. Serving staff are very helpful and attentive but not overbearing. Our food orders(shrimp salad and red snapper) were done to perfection and well presented. Special drinks of the day are enormous and tasty
Best Restaurant in Cabo Area
Maybe the best restaurant in the Cabo area. Not a bargain, but well worth it for the ambience, service and food.
This was an extremely disappointing
This was an extremely disappointing experience - the food was lacking vibrancy and taste and was extremely overpriced. The setting was beautiful
Overrated and overpriced
Overrated and overpriced. I get the impression Agua is skating on the fact that it's the restaurant at One and Only Palmilla. We found the dishes to be somewhat salty and very 'package-y' tasting. I would have expected fresher ingredients and some 'wow' flavors, but none of the dishes we had (4 courses each) were anything to write home about. Disappointing really - it could - and should- be so much more, especially for the price and location.
Wonderfully romantic dinner date
Amazing restaurant on the beautiful One and Only Palmilla resort in the Tourist Corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. We come every year and stay in Cabo San Lucas and the short drive is definitely worth it. This is a pricey restaurant but it is worth every penny. We have never been disappointed with the food or the ambience. We get an appetizer, entree and dessert every time because we don't want to miss out on a thing. The view is beautiful overlooking the bay while eating outdoors.
The best meal in years!
The only reason I gave Agua 5 stars is because there is nothing higher. We were treated like royalty from the time we came on grounds. The wine list was extensive. The menu had a variety of fresh fish and choice beef. We were there for our anniversary. The menu had Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Pitler on top. We were given a comp. dessert of a dark chocolate heart filled with vanilla bean ice cream and strawberries. The food was amazing. Our table overlooked the Sea of Cortez. Nothing about the night was less than perfect.
excellent food at a wonderful
excellent food at a wonderful Cabo hotel. We'd been to the fancier resto previously on another vacay but this was one of those outstanding nights. The food was fabulous, the site on a rolling lawn overlooking the ocean was made even better by fireworks across the bay in San Jose and a small but memorable performance by Antonio Zepeda, a well known Mexican musician. I had the most gigantic and succulent shrimp dish and my husband had a grilled red snapper with blanced vegetables. If only they could move part and parcel to LA
As always Aqua did not disappoint
As always Aqua did not disappoint this year. The food was spectacular and the wine steward gave us two amazing recommendations that were not traditional finds. Won't miss this place any time I am within 100 miles.
The place was great! A little
The place was great! A little expensive, but worth it, desert... excelent!
Great setting, food and service
Great setting, food and service but WAY overpriced.
One of the most AMAZING dining
One of the most AMAZING dining experiences I've ever had!!! We requested a Gluten free option for one and they not only accommodated us w/ her entree but also took it a step further and made gluten free bread, and dessert for her. Above & beyond!!! It was a girls night so we especially enjoyed all the little extra touches like the purse stand...Amazing!!!
Gorgeous view with cascading
Gorgeous view with cascading dinin levels down towards the sea. Delicious food beautifully presented. Very high price for Cabo - New York prices.
We had the most amazing experience
We had the most amazing experience at Agua. As our "big night out," it was the perfect setting. The chef's creations were fabulous - the braised short-rib pasta was heavenly. And there really is no better place to dine than outside with a view of the water through amazing landscaping. Service was impeccable. In all, the perfect dining experience.
Agua is located in the heart
Agua is located in the heart of the Palmilla resort. The scenic view of the water, as well as the grounds of the resort itself, are breathtaking. The level of service from the waitstaff could not have been higher, and our food was exquisite. Pricey but so worth it!
This was the best restaurant
This was the best restaurant we had been to in a while. The service was impeccable, and the food and wine only even more impressive. It was our honeymoon, and they made us our own personalized menu, as well as sat us on the ocean and away from other tables. Agua is the reason I would return to Cabo for a second honeymoon.
The BEST tuna tartar I have
The BEST tuna tartar I have ever had. Hands down. I would fly back to Cabo just for that.
When in Cabo, forget Las Ventanas
When in Cabo, forget Las Ventanas and he rest, go to Aqua for the best meal I have had in all of Mexico, consistently! If only the Palmilla wasn't more then La Ventanas, we'd stay there too.
What a fantastic place. The
What a fantastic place. The food is amazing. We go every year for our anniversary and they remember us and provide a special treat. It is not for the pedestrian food lover but for someone who wants a food expereince.
The food was good but it really
The food was good but it really bothers me to pay more in Mexico than the best restaurants in nyc. I ordered the fois gras and got a piece so small it was barely a bite, I didn't even say anything and shortly after another plate arrived with a much larger piece. A bottle of Silver Oak 2002 was $475.00 a little steep!!! The best value in town is Gardenias a taco joint by the mall.
Fabulous place but really
Fabulous place but really overpriced- over $300.00 for breakfast for 6 people- 2 were children
Wonderful scenery, great food
Wonderful scenery, great food and impecable service. Live musicians added to the experience.
i did eat at the one and only
i did eat at the one and only aqua restaurant, but it was in the bar area, not the dinning area. $168.00 for two apetizers and four bloody marys, i hope i get points.
